I do not support funding the Phoenix PD. Our police brutality rates have drastically increased in the past 5 years. We currently stand at 49th in the education system. Wouldn’t it seem more logical to just fund better education systems for our future and current generations? We shouldn’t want to be last or the worst in anything, things need to change for Arizona to be better. STARTING with education.
I 100% DO NOT SUPPORT the defunding of the Phoenix police department, our department needs all the funding it can get, new hires, training, etc. defunding would do our community and officers a complete disservice. Thank you!
I demand the City Council vote NO on the 2020-21 budget on June 17th. Phoenix needs more funding to education. As someone who grew up in the Kyrene school district, I had many teachers who relied on donations from students and grants for basic teaching materials. Especially in the middle of a pandemic, only $242 million to housing, human services, and community development is abhorrently low and $745 to policing is embarrassingly high and tone deaf. Move the police funds to help the community.
I do not want to defund our police officier’s in Arizona and mostly in Phoenix.
