Opposed by Dell EMC. We just learned RFQ 20-101(KFT) is not a formal solicitation. Yet Staff won’t let Dell EMC participate even though it was part of the team that won the modernization project RFP. IT Dept should be able to buy Dell EMC equipment via the State Networking Contract (like Aviation). Staff’s approach eliminates Council oversight and approval for a $4 million project. The item should be moved to allow for a fair procurement process that will result in the best equipment and price.
