I would rather funds go towards an actual solution. Putting up a gate is just a bandaid and solves nothing. We should allocating all possible funds towards the core issues here which include: homelessness, lack of resources, affordable housing, etc.
Thank you for the gates in the alley ways in the area near the Human Services Campus. We have a property at 9th Ave where a gate was placed and trash has been reduced. A neighbor recently experienced the following, "I have been up since 3:00 am with the concrete guys working on my buildings here on Madison Street. When it was still dark, as I was trying to find the handle for the water bib, I stuck my hand in fresh Poop." These gates help keep our property safe and clean. Please continue.
