CALL TO THE PUBLIC

The BLM group was formed, supposedly, to protest the shooting of "innocent" unharmed black people. The reason the "innocent" unharmed black people are shot is because they fight with the police etc. Just a quick statistic to show how stupid this reasoning is: in 2019 there were 9 unharmed blacks killed and 20 unharmed whites. Using the lefts reasoning of blacks being shot because of racism really means, from the is statistic that police are raciest against whites more than blacks.

I strongly oppose this mural be done in our city, blm only represent division and terror and Marxist ideologies, they do not care for black lives or any life for that matter. We do not need violence in our city, we have enough just trying to cope with this stupid pandemic!

I wish to add to my comment on the BLM street mural. I'm concerned it sets a precedent for any individuals with the money to buy an image of their choosing on public property. This project on public land should be reviewed by Phx Arts and Culture (Dept or Commission) and considered public art. The location, 3rd st between Jackson and Jefferson, seems odd. Is there historical relevance to this location? Finally, I don't want people to drive over MLK's and Lewis's faces.

I agree with the many other comments below. We need to get the fields open and allow kids to return to sports!

Please open the baseball fields. Ducey said when this started that we need temporary shutdowns in order not to overwhelm the hospitals. I agreed at the time but the jig is up. This has Segwayed into the "Election Virus" and the consequences of keeping various entities shut down to fan the flames of chaos is getting old. We're done with wearing the Marxist Fake News Masks and the kids need exercise. I realize this doesn't make Phoenix Blues happy, but the virus has decended to a safe level, open!

Please open up our city parks and fields! Our youth need to be able to plays sports again. Other cities have already opened up their playing fields. Our kids need to be outside playing sports and not sitting at home on electronic devices!

Open the parks. Youth sports have been going on in other parts of the country without problems. Our local children need to be outside.

The PUBLIC STREETS of Phoenix should not have any markings other than LEGAL, common traffic lanes, crosswalks and bike paths!
Or you will have to open them up to ALL political, religious, social messages! We must stop all this hate, race baiting! Allowing this on PUBLIC STREETS will only segregate our city more and will end up in law suits if others cannot put a message!
PLEASE VOTE NO and stop it right here and now!
This cannot be legal on PUBLIC OWNED PROPERTY! STOP THE POLITICS & HATE!

This is an outrage. This is a waste of taxpayers money. Don't reward terrorists and cowards, AKA Black Lives Matter. Be leaders, not cowards. Reward instead the heros who sacrifice every day. Blue Lives Matter. Who in Arizona wants to be like L. A. ????

Please reopen all parks and fields for youth sports so that our children can resume doing what makes them the most happy, playing baseball and seeing their friends. It's imperative not only for their physical well being, but for their mental health to be able to safely get back out into the world.

We, as the citizens of Phoenix, ask the mayor and city council to reopen parks and fields for youth sports. Our children have been isolated at home since March and can only see their school friends on a computer screen. They need socialization and recreational activity. Our children are essential. Youth sports are essential. Consider the precautions the community can take, and the fact that children are not the vulnerable ones for COVID-19. Re-open the fields, other cities have already started.

Please re-open the baseball fields so our children can get back to doing something they love. Baseball is played outside, has limited contact and it is easy for the kids to socially distance. If they take proper precautions, there should be no reason why this would not be safe. There are many indoor sports including hockey and gymnastics that have remained open and continued to practice this entire time, and to my knowledge, there have been no issues with outbreaks. Please open the fields.

Please fully Re-Open Reach 11 and all City parks for youth sports activities. Phoenix appears to be the only municipality to not have accommodated these requests. There really is no longer any reason for their closure.

We need to review the youth program's ability to use local sport fields, specifically the baseball field. If a program has in a place an outlined return to play process, as well as a waiver system that all participants are required to complete, what else is holding us back? We need to make sure that those programs about children's safety are given the opportunity to support safe return to sports.

I'm a Mom of a 9 year old boy who plays Cal Ripken baseball. My request is simple: open the fields. I'm trying to teach he and his sister that we need to be cautious not crazy. We have to begin to learn to live with COVID not run from it. Either our children continue to be plagued by isolation, depression, obesity and lack of communication skills or we take our chances and safely, responsibly, carefully get them to join human kind again. It can be done. But only if you open the fields.

Open the parks and fields for kids to play sports already!! The emotional and physical well being of our children are at stake. Another vote that it should also be the parents that decide what is best for their children.

Please consider the mental and physical well-being of our children who have been stuck at home with little to no interaction with other kiddos. Review the document that has been so carefully put together outlining all of the precautions the league plans to incorporate to keep everyone healthy and safe. Please open up the fields so our children can begin to have some sense of normalcy!

Open the parks and fields for kids to play sports. It is so important for their health to get out and play. Both physically as well as mentally and emotionally. It’s time to let parents decide what is best for our children.

Scottsdale Cal Ripken has created a Return to Play plan that shows their commitment to the health and safety of our players and families. We are asking that you give Scottsdale Cal Ripken the opportunity to present their Return to Play plan in an effort to get our children back to the parks and back to doing what they love. Please consider reopening our city parks for our kids. They need the place and space to do what they do best...be kids!
