I support this much needed pay increase. The City of Phoenix is falling behind in wages. City of Phoenix needs this pay increase to keep good qualified electricians and future recruitment of equally qualified electricians.
Thank you.
I support 37 because the electricians should get a pay increase due to the fact that the other municipalities are a lot higher in salary. The City of Phoenix is way behind the industry standard for electricians and is why it is hard to hire quality men and women and keep the ones they have.
Being a former electrician at 91st ave wwtp job was excellent however pay was not as well compared to other citys and utilities, all city of phoenix electricians deserve a raise for there hard work and dedication especiallly during call outs assisting on keeping water moving .
I am in favor of agenda item 37. The City of Phoenix used to be one of the most desired electrical employers in Arizona. The City of Phoenix has fallen way behind in competitive wages for a qualified electrician. An increase in pay would put the City of Phoenix back on the map. Electricians are responsible for City of Phoenix assets critical to operations in all departments. An increase in pay would be a win for the City of Phoenix. Thank you for your consideration.
I highly support Agenda item 37, this will help current City of Phoenix Electricians and their families. This pay increase will also make the City of Phoenix a more desirable place for talented Electricians. For many years Departments have asked electricians to do more with less manpower, and they have stepped up, this is the perfect time to show these hardworking, devoted individuals they are appreciated. Thank you city council.
I believe this proposal is well deserved for unit 2 electricians, we work on complex equipment ranging from 480 motor control circuits to 15 kv distribution. We are here for city needs 24/7 and have provided crucial support in turbulent times. It’s the right thing to do. Thankyou
The city as a purveyor of utilities to the public should be home to best available talent in the industry, they way you get the best is to pay a fair wage and treat your people right.
These workers deserve to be paid at a competitive rate with others in the industry, The results of the cities class and comp. study show these workers are being paid far below their peers working for other municipalities and at one time not too long ago, the City Of Phoenix was the best.
The increase would be much appreciated for the tradesmen that are currently working for the city and to attract future tradesmen. The city is having a hard time hiring good qualified Electricians. Competition for qualified Electricians is tough. The main reason is your asking them to come work here at 2nd or 3rd year apprentice wages. Good qualified Electricians must go through a 4 year apprenticeship program, pass a 100 question exam, and have 8000 working hours. We should be top employer.
This would be much appreciated and well deserved to the tradesman who have been here through the ups and downs of our economy in recent years. The City of Phoenix is a great place to work and we want to attract the best tradesman we can for the future
Be for the City a lot employee leaving the city that the city spent a lot of money for training.
