Due to the continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact on vulnerable populations, I support the ESG-CV2 proposal to fund street outreach, emergency shelter, eviction prevention, and rapid rehousing. The street outreach component is absolutely critical as the unsheltered population in Phoenix has continued to grow year over year; and estimates forecast a potential 40% increase in homelessness due to COVID. Providers who engage the unsheltered population need support.
