Typically, the Prosecutor’s Office learns of potential Brady material by reviewing completed investigative reports from the Phoenix Police Department’s Professional Standards Bureau (PSB).’ The PSB chooses who is on the list!? SO problematic. PSB as our only means of police accountability is disgusting and unacceptable. This subcommittee is meant to discuss public safety and justice! How dare you all go on about nonsense and ignore reality. If you shirk your duties you don’t deserve your job!

The Brady List is inherently flawed. There is no regulation as to what actions get someone put on the list or how quickly they need to be put on the list. There is no independent review, as police and prosecutors both benefit from keeping witnesses off of this list. The list, like PPD, needs independent oversight. As it stands now, this list decreases transparency and community faith in PPD.

We demand you hold PPD accountable. This accountability starts with YOU council! You have cops that created and distributed neo-Nazi coins lying under oath. This indicates extreme bias, prejudice and dishonesty, yet many of them are not even on the Brady List. How will you ensure these cops are placed on this list now? How will you change this narrative: You have no problem putting protesters in the gang database based on lies, but cops aren't held accountable for the tangible harm they cause.

You have cops that created and distributed neo-Nazi coins lying under oath. This indicates extreme bias, prejudice and dishonesty, yet many of them are not even on the List. Every dirty cop associated with the coin and protest charges should be on Brady. You have no problem putting protesters in the gang database based on lies, but cops aren't held accountable for the tangible harm they cause. You have seen unshakable proof of misconduct with your own eyes. We demand you hold PPD accountable.

Your priorities are sickening! You have a primer on the Brady List when we came here last month and told you exactly what to put on the agenda. Do some prep work instead of wasting our time with info you could have googled. We have to force agenda items with petitions because you clearly don’t care about safety or justice. When the only “police accountability rep” sits on this subcommittee and we never see anything that the community demands, what does that say? Every last one of you has to go!

Another agenda item SHOULD have been a google search. You have plenty of info to know that 1:Chief Williams and Ed Zuercher knew about this coin and didn't think it was a problem, which is a HUGE PROBLEM (fascism aside it celebrates violence against community members. big problem!) They NEED TO BE FIRED. 2:Thirteen officers were known to have traded the coin, they need to be FIRED. we can fire additional officers as they are revealed by the external report. REMOVE MGMT; GET COPS OFF THE STREET

The Brady List needs to be explained to our city council who are in charge of ‘public safety and justice.’ What a disgrace! You make decisions about the police and don’t even know the basics of the Brady List! While you discuss Ed’s asinine slide show people are facing years in prison for false charges made by cops who should be on this List! How dare any of you claim to represent the people or care about public safety or justice. We don’t trust you. It’s clear you are completely incompetent.
