The Capitol Extension should be approved as soon as possible. Extensive conversations have been had in the neighborhoods about the route. While I would have preferred 18th Avenue, it is not worth continuing to debate the State of Arizona for several more years to complete the route. Safety concerns regarding bombers using the light rail are overblown and an Oklahoma City style attack with a rented truck is a greater and more realistic risk than hijacking and bombing the capitol via light rail.
