While I think some of us had different visions for the routing of the Capitol Extension, it is necessary to start this process and this satisfies most stakeholders. A larger debate must follow as to the placement of stations and ensuring that there is easy and adequate access to retail and neighborhoods. Pushing a station on 19th Avenue with no support for instance would be a tremendous loss compared to stations that open on to the capitol itself.
