I support whatever technology, staffing or processes that will assist law enforcement to enable public safety. I would appreciate the Mayor and City Council to prioritize public safety, as that is there primary government function. Ignore the paranoid comments from the Vice Mayor and his followers. Public safety is at risk for the 1.7 million residents as our police force erodes. Therefor its cameras dwtn, red light cameras, if lives are saved and crime is averted, that seems prudent to me.

In addition to cameras downtown we need to add cameras at every major intersection along 19th ave Camelback to Dunlap. We all know that this corridor is a hot spot for all criminal activity including prostitution, human trafficking, arson, drug dealing, gun sales resulting in a higher volume of assaults. If we have a known effective camera system this will deter criminal activity knowing that there will be real consequences to their actions.
This would protect citizens and all the schools.
