The area of 19th ave corridor is a nightmare of crime,assault,drugs & prostitution. Our officers have worked very hard to make arrests,100,000's of fentanyl pills, heroin, and 100's of guns are off the street.& now we are having our NET teams & our CAO's cut. There will only be 3 CAO's & 1 Net squad in the entire 75 mile precinct. We need our NET squad & our CAO's back. We also need to be included in or have our public safety program like 27th ave or all that crime will move to our area.
2017 we had 3 net squads for desert horizon 2021 we had 2 now going to 1. Phoenix population growth has increased by 300K since 2017. Desert Horizon Precinct covers 75 miles. 19th ave and Glendale had 6000 calls for service in 2021. The NET squad have made many arrest leading to larger arrest because of the undercover work that is done on that corner 100,000's of fentanyl, 100's of guns are off the street directly related to their investigative work. We cant loose a whole net squad. WE NEED NET
