I need to understand why Council has yet to make a public statement regarding Sal Diciccio’s involvement in the 2020 scandal to charge protesters with known false gang charges. Council’s handling of this issue in general is appalling considering the number of high level city officials being implicated by continued release of text messages, emails, and other communication. What trust should I have in a city that does nothing but cover up the mistakes of wealthy political figures?

Sal’s been outed for abusing the power of his office to help MCAO target and falsely charge people who speak against police violence. DOJ is doing a fake investigation, & somehow hasn’t even looked at MCAO yet! PPD is being investigated for being white supremacists who exploit their power to send their critics to prison. Chief Jeri is colluding & lying! Yet MAYOR & COUNCIL THINK ALL IS WELL & HAVE NOTHING TO SAY! The system was designed to work like this so we are working to build a new system!

Sal, an elected official, was lobbying on behalf of PLEA to MCAO, a supposedly impartial, independent agency in order to silence and cage police critics. Everyone involved knew those charges were false, yet DiCiccio used his influence to push the County Attorney to continue violating people’s rights by refiling false charges! The evidence is public and not a single one of you have condemned Sal’s misconduct! Why is that? Did you all want to squelch the movement against PPD violence also?

Severely disgusted at the continued presence of Sal Diciccio in the office of D6. He serves as nothing other than a barrier to the betterment of Phoenix citizens. He is a conduit for the neo nazi adjacent PLEA who’s head Britt London went on TV and blamed peaceful protestors for not being able to use carotid chokeholds, veiling threats to escalate to lethal tactics faster. City Council, it’s time you stand to these perpetrators of violence. As far as Chief Williams..what else needs to be said..?

Mayor & City Council members, you have enabled the corruption in our council chambers. From Tweeting in solidarity with the corrupt PD, text exchanges to ensure that FALSE charges stick, handling Adel's corruption with kid-gloves while our family members & neighbors have been in cages during a global pandemic is absolutely stomach turning. Clearly there is no accountability in your office- you need to speak out & up about the racism, corruption, & greed you're proliferating by your silence.

We need Phoenix City Council to demonstrate integrity by holding Member DiCiccio and others accountable for the misuse of power disclosed in recent legal and media reports of misconduct and collusion against persons exercising first amendment rights. Our community needs a response that is based on principle, not selfish interest. A public plan for accountability for all involved and compensation for those targeted may be first steps in the best interest of all, including those held accountable.

In solidarity with Black leadership and in light of the news Sal, Jeri, PLEA & MCAO attempted to refile false charges to make an example of the protesters in hopes of silencing and deterring our 1A rights, I’m restating these demands from 8/21. 1 Fire Chief Williams, Sgt. McBride, and all officers who played a role in fabricating and approving gang charges against protesters. 2 Disband Phoenix Law Enforcement Association. 3 Pay reparations to every person politically targeted by Phoenix Police.

I find it obsolutley unacceptable that you have said nothing about Sal's conduct. This is a clear case of absolute corruption. Furthering the deserved distrust in the PPD. The fact that you all refuse to hold anyone accountable including Sal is unacceptable. Why is it the only people that seem to have our best interests in mind are unelected? Why are citizen’s petitions necessary to force you to focus on what is actually important to us? We deserve protection from your violent killer cops.

Sal used his influence to push the MCAO to continue violating people’s rights by refiling false charges! The council must condemn Sal’s misconduct & listen to demands from 8/21: 1 Fire all officers who played a role in fabricating & approving gang charges against protesters. 2 Disband PLEA. 3 Pay reparations to every person politically targeted by Phoenix PD.

What in the world are you all thinking!? The notice of claim revealed text messages proving Sal DiCiccio, Police Chief Jerri Williams, President of Phoenix Law Enforcement Association (PLEA) Britt London, County Attorney Allister Adel, and Tom Van Dorn First Responders Bureau Liaison Supervisor (and former Phoenix Police officer) were all scheming and colluding to silence and imprison demonstrators for exercising their First Amendment Rights. And none of you have condemned Sal or PPD? Shameful.

Mayor Kate and Council,THIS IS A NATIONAL CASE AND YOU’VE SAID NOTHING! After seeing corrupt Sal in the news and your silence I am appalled by your apathy and disregard for true public safety or justice! You support and promote further violence from PPD by funding them and refusing to use your power to hold them accountable. We have to create citizen’s petitions to literally force you to focus on what is actually important to the people who need protection from your violent killer cops.

Recently a notice of claim that revealed subpoenaed text messages proving Councilman Sal DiCiccio, Police Chief Jerri Williams, PLEA President Britt London, MCAO Allister Adel, and Tom Van Dorn of MCAO’s First Responders Bureau (and former Phoenix Police officer) were all scheming and colluding to silence and imprison demonstrators for exercising their First Amendment Rights. Kate and City Council, you enabled Sal’s egregious misconduct! Your silence makes you complicit with his abuse of power.

There is more to be said about the safety of the phoenix public. We are still dealing with the daily consequences of a corrupt prosecutors office implicating Jeri Williams, acting public safety subcommittee chair Sal Diciccio, the Phoenix police union and other top phoenix PD chiefs. WHEN WILL YOU HOLD YOUR PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE? We cannot make you do your jobs, but we can remove you from office. Adel is resigning on Friday. Yassamin, Carlos, Jim, and Anne we need to talk.

Mayor Kate, City Council members, you enabled Sal’s egregious misconduct! You’ve ignored us and refused to speak against his behavior or censure his racist and abusive attacks against your constituents in the movement to hold police accountable. You watched him verbally attack us during council meetings since 2017, as he called us “liars'' and “lunatics” for speaking about the very harms ABC15 news has proven. You should be ashamed. Your silence makes you complicit with his abuse of power.
