I am a proud volunteer with Pueblo Grande Museum and Archeological Park. It is the site of the very first cultural settlement in Phoenix. The Ancestral O'Odham people built the Hohokam Culture and the magnificent platform mound owned by the City of Phoenix and curated by Pueblo Grande Museum. The Museum lost 10 staff positions during the 2008 budget crisis and has not recovered one of them since. They are only asking to restore 4 of the 10. Please fund and approve the full PGM staffing request.

Please finish Desert Foothills Park, including 8 Pickleball courts and a paved parking lot would greatly enhance the community! Over 1,000 new homes are planned just a couple of miles east of the Park and our community needs more recreational outlets. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America, now even being taught in our elementary/ Jr. High/ High Schools....these children will need a convenient, easy access place to play Pickleball rather than sitting at home on their electronics.

I am writing on behalf of the Ahwatukee resident pickleball players. Please choose to fund 8 new pickleball courts at Desert foothills Park where over 800 supporters have petitioned for this upgrade to the park. In the short term, please line out the current tennis courts with lines for the Pickleball courts so that we can reduce our carbon footprint by walking or biking to the park to play instead of driving to Pecos Park or Gilbert and Tempe parks.

I am writing on behalf of the project to support pickleball courts at Desert Foothills Park. We ask the city to consider allocating funds to add 8 or more picklebal courts and a parking lot. In the interim we ask that our current 2 tennis courts be refinished and lined for dual purpose. They are presently underutilized and in need of maintenance. In the almost 20 years I have lived nearby, the park has seen little if any improvement or upkeep. Thanks.

I am fully in support of adding PICKLEBALL COURTS AT DESERT FOOTHILLS PARK. I am asking the city to consider funding to add at least 8 Pickleball courts and add an additional parking lot. This park has never been finished. I am asking that our current tennis courts be refinished and lined for picklball (dual purpose). Lighting is very bad and needs to be updated. With this I (and MANY others here) would not have to drive to further courts thereby saving the environment and fuel.

I am writing in on behalf of over 800 supporters for the PICKLEBALL AT DESERT FOOTHILLS PARK project. We are asking the city to consider allocating funds to add at least 8 dedicated Pickleball courts and a parking lot. In the interim we are asking that our current two tennis courts are refinished and lined for dual purpose as these courts are underutilized and in bad shape. We would love to be able to walk/ride to our local park to play pickleball rather than driving to Pecos- go green.
