If you cared about these cops, you wouldn't ask them to be police. Policing is traumatic to our community, our Black brown and indigenous neighbors and to the folks who are working as cops. It isn't helping us, it isn't helping them, and it costs way too much money. Lets see what 200 million dollars can do to enrich our community.
These men and women risk their lives every day to keep us safe, they deserve a decent pension and a decent pension will encourage a higher desire to do that job. What these officers experience on a daily basis is something that they Iive with well after retirement.
I support anything that supports our police and encourages more officers to stay and join the force.
