For 45 years, Dr. Stewart has led one of the largest African American congregations in the Valley, and has stood at the forefront of justice, equality and inclusion. It is a fitting honor for someone who has made a difference in our community for the past 45 years
I moved here fourteen years ago. I visited other churches and inquired about their community involvement. I found out that under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Warren H. Stewart Sr. First Institutional Baptist Church (FIBC) has been a leading community supporter. The church has been feeding the hungry, providing water to the thirsty, providing housing for the disabled and housing for single unwed mothers and their children. FIBC is a safe haven for ALL the needy & poor in Spirit in the community.
Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr. is a dedicated and faithful member of this community and change agent for over forty-five years as he has led the congregation of the First Institutional Baptist Church. His community impact is not limited to the faith community. Dr. Stewart has been the voice of the marginalized within the city of Phoenix, the state of Arizona, this country and the world. This ceremonial honor has been earned and is well deserved.
Dr. Warren H. Stewart, Sr. is so deserving of this recognition. He has rendered invaluable service to this community for over 45 years.
