I fully support this designation and thank Councilwoman Ansari and Councilman Garcia have graciously worked to fund this project. Hans Hughes was a hero for this community and his memory should not be forgotten. We should recognize his contributions to our community and simultaneously work to make sure our streets are safe for all.

I am in support of this designation. The loss of Hans was a sobering reminder of our collective failure to act urgently enough to ensure safe transportation pathways exist for those who are traveling by bicycle. Hopefully these signs will help to reinforce that message to all of us.
