46 Agreements with Aspirant Partners for Development of Property Located at 2nd Avenue North of Van Buren Street in Downtown Phoenix (Ordinance S-49923)
As a business and property owner in Roosevelt, and a resident of downtown I oppose this GPLET and urge Mayor and Council to NOT APPROVE this agreement with Aspirant. Aspirant has not demonstrated effective Community Engagement practices to determine Community Benefits for GPLET. The existing neighborhood association opposes being forced to agree to an affordable housing CBA that doesn't convey to the neighborhood specifically. This GPLET does not provide adequate Community Benefits for Residents
I am writing in my capacity as a business operator in downtown Phoenix to express my support for this project and this agenda item. I hope the city council moves forward with approval to allow the city manager to enter into a development agreement with this developer in order to allow this critical project to move forward.
