As of May 11, 2023, the covid-19 public health emergency had ended, and so should this program. The city needs to be fiscally responsible. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/your-health/end-of-phe.html

Even the WHO says CoVid is over. Why should we waste money continuing a study to develop a plan to deliver food to CoVid impacted communities?

This is for growing vegetables and non-meat or dairy products. Have programs like this been created in Phoenix for the cattle or dairy industries? Furthermore, the agenda states, “In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of Environmental Programs developed a food assistance plan to address food needs of vulnerable populations and communities impacted by COVID-19.” On 5/5, the WHO chief declared the end of Covid-19 as a global health emergency. This program needs to end. COVID is over.

This is for growing vegetables and non-meat or dairy products. What about the cattle or dairy industries? Furthermore, the agenda states, “In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Office of Environmental Programs (OEP) developed a food assistance plan to address the food needs of vulnerable populations and communities impacted by COVID-19.” On May 5, the World Health Organization chief declared the end of Covid-19 being a global health emergency. This program needs to end. COVID is over.

How can you promote one industry over another when meat (protein) and dairy (calcium) are vital foods for well rounded nutrition when addressing food assistance for vulnerable populations. Small urban farms raise sustainable poultry, dairy and meat.

Broaden the program or better yet, end it, as Covid-19 is no longer considered a global health emergency.
