The Arts and Culture Commission has got to be one of the most fiscally irresponsible programs ever adopted. Throwing money around at artwork at astronomical prices that could be better utilized to support programs in need of funding is just a waste. Art is subjective and in the eye of the beholder. How about apply this contract money to beds for the homeless or offset the wastewater rate increase or more funding for the actual Block Watch safety programs. Programs that make a difference.

The city needs to be fiscally responsible like it's citizens.

Given the state of the economy and the current burden on our taxpayers, we should not be throwing large sums into art work around the city.

Stop paying astronomical prices for artwork. The total of this contract is more than enough to offset the wastewater rate increase earlier this year.
