In May of 2023 the Rogers Ranch Residents Committee spoke in opposition to giving tax rebates to developers while Phoenix struggled to raise funds for Parks, Police, Roads, and traffic control. We stated that neither IDM nor Leon Capital needed $20 Million to make their projects work. Time proved us right. They just sold the land for massive profits. The grants were a waste. No high paying tech jobs were created. As long as PHX is short of funds, please stop the kickbacks to developers.

We need red light cameras covering the City of Phoenix. There's too many accidents- red light runners and innocent people getting insured and I've watched people go into debt with medical bills. I'm also a victim from a red light runner who t boned my car and stuck me with a few hundred thousand dollars in medical bills - unpaid time off work as well as totalling my car. There were zero consequences to them since we don't have red light cameras. This isn't fair

I was in an accident like most people in Phoenix- due to the lack of red light cameras to stop rhe wrecklass drivers and drivers speeding.
I was side swiped my a red light runner - and because we don't have red light cameras - nothing happened to the jerk that not only caused thousands of dollars of damage to my vehicle but the medical bills piling up front the force and excess speed.
This has to stop. This isn't safe and 1000s of people are getting insured.

I support Red light Camera's. I was badly insured in a car accident and because we didn't have red light cameras the person was never charged. It's take 2 years of my life and lively hood away from having a severe concussion, loss if vision in one eye due to a traumatic brain injury when the sun hit my car - forcing my head to smash into my streeing wheel 2x.
If we had red light cameras this person would of been caught! Please please vote for Red light cameras. 🙏

At the August Vision Zero meeting, I inquired about red light cameras on our agenda & if it was going to City Council, but staff stated it was for educational purposes only. Red light cameras disproportionately target divested communities, leading to financial burdens on those who are already struggling. These communities have poorly designed streets that encourage speeding. We must consider income-based red light fines to address the inequity of red light camera enforcement in these communities

Our City streets continue to be more dangerous than our peer Cities in the Country and even in our region. This is in large part due to speeding and red light running. Traffic fatalities continue to rise. Phoenix’s road fatality rates continue to climb at almost twice the national average - increasing at 5.7% each year. We cannot save lives and achieve Vision Zero without changes. Automated enforcement is also a tool we need to bring back to enforce speed limits and red light running.
