this tax increase is necessary due to the fact we have legislators in the state that keep pulling money and power from the city. I know there is some waste in the city but i really don't want to see programs cut. Especially to police and fire! The city can wisely start looking at ways to save money i am sure but this tax increase is needed thanks to the "not so brilliant minds" at our state legislature

Thank you for developing a way to replace dollars Phoenix is losing because the state repealed the rental tax. I think the city has been judicious in its spending, but I fear we cannot maintain adequate support for Public Safety without dramatic cuts to other services citizens value. I am partial the arts and culture program, but other services also will suffer as well. Please vote for the ordinance amendment authorize the increase in the sales tax.

It is time for our government officials to take a hard look at how they've been spending taxpayer money. We need to trim unnecessary projects, not increase taxes to spend more. The Goldwater institute has made it plain this is an unconstitutional increase they will be suing the city over which will cause more taxpayer money to be spent. It is not in the best long term interest of the city or it's elected officials to continue on this path.

The City needs to manage it's money like we as residents need to. You have the bond measure. Stick to your promises of no new taxes.

The City asked the residents for a budget override, City Council and Mayor promised the citizens it would not result in new or increased taxes. The City does not need new taxes the City needs to set up a DOGE committee to analyze programs and spending, resulting in termination of unnecessary programs and positions to balance the budget the same as any company would have to do.

We passed a Bond measure. There should be no new taxes.

The council asked the voters for the override with the understanding that this would satisfy the budget needs and no new taxes or increases would be needed. Asking for more taxes is wrong and against your promises. Put the pencil to the budget and get balanced with making cuts. Stop bleeding the great Phoenix taxpayers, we already have made many sacrifices. Enough is enough.

When the City asked the residents for a budget override, this City Council and Mayor promised the citizens that it would not result in new or increased taxes. That clearly was a lie, as you are now trying to increase taxes for politically driven pet projects that the City doesn't need. You should be DOGEing the City budget, not making it harder to do business in the city!
