I am very grateful that the City of Phoenix is re-legalizing the missing middle starter homes that have helped so many families find a home in Phoenix and build businesses and lives in our city. I would prefer that these are legalized in a much larger area because frankly having lived in a neighborhood with these, it enhances the community we have in our neighborhood. Please support expanding the area that these are legalized but at the very least legalize missing middle housing here.

I support the Middle Housing Overlay District ordinance adoption, and would further support a city wide expansion of the ordinance. Government regulation that prohibits property owners from building housing structures like the kind referenced as middle-housing prevents individual home owners from using their own land to go into business for themselves.
