74 Public Hearing and Resolution Adoption - General Plan Amendment GPA-NG-1-24-1 - Southwest Corner of I-17 and Loop 303 (Resolution 22350) - District 1
I strongly oppose the North Park Development. Placing heavy industrial zoning next to homes, schools, and preserved desert is reckless and dangerous. Keep industrial development north of Loop 303 and protect the Sonoran Mountain Preserve.
I strongly oppose the North Park Development. Placing heavy industrial zoning next to homes, schools, and preserved desert is reckless and dangerous. Phoenix has already suffered groundwater contamination from past semiconductor facilities, and we cannot repeat those mistakes. This project endangers children, violates the Sonoran Preserve Master Plan, and sacrifices public health and safety for profit. Keep industrial development north of Loop 303 and protect the Sonoran Mountain Preserve.
The North Village Planning Committee DID NOT LISTEN TO CONCERNS of the community it was supposed to represent. Many of the affected community opposed! Petitions signed, etc. The plan, as written is NOT ACCEPTABLE! As ELECTED city council members, you represent us, not big pockets of Pulte and TSMC. Do the RIGHT thing and vote no on the current proposals. There are better solutions that embody “progress” while holding true to the City of Phoenix master plan (ie water and preserve conservation).
I’m a teenager who lives here, and it’s ridiculous that elected officials can lie to us and still approve projects like this. We shouldn’t have industrial factories shoved near our homes while we’re told it’s “good for the community.” We see through it. Our streets, our air, our future — don’t sell it for profit.
I don’t want the expansion of chip plants in my north Phoenix neighborhood. I don’t want them anywhere in Phoenix at all. We are experiencing severe water shortages and these plants will over stress and pollute our water supplies. SAY NO!!! We have got to take care of our resources and secure them for ours and future generations not sell them to the highest bidders.
