I generally oppose increasing the speed limit. I would ask that you increase the speed limit on 51st Avenue between Union Hills and 250 feet south of Cactus to 45 mph instead of 40 mph. This would be in line with other speeds in the area that people are able to responsibly drive. Providing the traffic report with the 85th percentile speed data would be helpful to allow for an informed public discussion. Lowering speed limits is energy inefficient as people brake to below the natural speed.
