I live in the neighborhood. The neighbors regularly use this alleyway for pedestrian traffic, among many other things. I believe that this abandonment is different than the other alley abandonments that come before the city council because this alleyway is actually used by the collective neighborhood. As such, the decision to abandon should be reconsidered.
I oppose abandoning the alley behind my home because it serves as vital shared infrastructure for our neighborhood. Residents rely on it for trash collection, utility access, service vehicles, moving trucks, and emergency egress. While abandonment would primarily increase the size and value of one property, it would reduce a public resource used by many families. For safety, accessibility, and the public interest, the alley should remain under public ownership.

My name is Kyle Kean and I am strongly opposed to the abandonment to the alley. Our family and neighbors use the alley daily basis and it would have a negative impact on us to lose that access.
I live at 4029 N 54th Place, Phoenix AZ 85018 and strongly oppose the alley abandonment as it will negatively affect a safe thorough fare for neighborhood children and alley trash services. Alley easements should not be granted for neighbors who want to gain more land for their personal use when it negatively affects the greater neighborhood. Thank you.
