It is long past the time when our parks should be open. It is critical to the health of our children to get outside and play. Whether you like it or not, children are gathering but not everyone has the space to get outside. This is especially detrimental to the less financially fortunate children in Phoenix who might live in apartments or small homes without a safe yard in which to play.
    Respectfully
    Rick

I oppose to Family Services Centers reopening. High risk of second wave to happen more now with flu season starting. Some of the centers were impacted severely as employees and clients got infected with Covid-19. They are providing virtual services to the Community, staying healthy and safe for families should be priority. Head Start and Senior Centers are taking precautions and continue extending current practices until the month of December. Family Centers should be provided same Opportunity.

Oppose to reopening Family Centers. Keep people and employees safe, continue providing services virtually. I’ve had family members affected by coronavirus and have lost friends to the infection. Priority should be safety and not increase the spread.

Oppose to Family Services Centers reopening. Flu is season around the corner, high risk of a second wave. Centers were impacted severely with employees/clients infected with coronavirus. They are providing virtual services to the community, why put people/employees at risk? Centers serve a high percentage of senior & people with underlying health conditions. If Head Start & Senior Centers are taking precautions by extending virtual practices, Family Centers should be provided same opportunity.

I oppose to the Family Services Centers to move to phase II. Some of the Center got impacted severely when a good number of employees got infected with COVID-19. They continue to provide services at full capacity, not different than one year ago, so why take a risk? Just like the Senior Centers, they serve a high population of seniors and disabled. Head Start and Senior Centers are taking precautions by extending current practices until December, I request the same for the Family Centers.

Please open public parks/playgrounds. Our kids have to commute to other cities in order to enjoy their playgrounds and amenities. This is not right and its embarrassing that our city is still closed. Their mental and physical health is dependent on playing outside. People don't have to go if they feel unsafe. The rest of us want to play in our neighborhood playgrounds! Please vote to open playgrounds, parks and amenities. Thank you for your time.

As concerned citizens we demand our outdoor public amenities reopened immediately. It is an embarrassment that every city surrounding ours has been open for months. Where are Phoenix citizens supposed to go to enjoy the outdoors & give their families fun and exercise? We have the right to be in these public spaces & can choose for ourselves what is right for our families. We will continue to show up, take down tape and enjoy our time outside with our families. Vote yes to open the parks.

I've been a library employee for 15 years. During this closure, the library department has run a curbside service that uses best health practices to protect staff and customers. Still, we've had 12 cases. Tragically, one of our colleagues died as a result. Like many library employees, he was part-time, so he didn't have health benefits, and it is nigh impossible to prove line-of-duty death in a pandemic. It is unconscionable that staff should be put at risk for patrons' browsing and PC use.

These hard times have helped me appreciate all the things we usually take for granted. I truly believe that families with low income have been struggling for the lack of access to the ramadas and other services at parks that are still closed due to the restrictions from COVID. I hope that you can reconsider opening them again for the public to use. Part of gathering as friends and family with sensible precautions helps to protect our kids and youth mental and emotional health. Thank you 😊
