79 (CONTINUED FROM JULY 1 AND AUG. 26, 2020) - Public Hearing and Ordinance Adoption - Amend City Code - Rezoning Application PHO-1-19--Z-165-06-7(8) - Northwest Corner of 35th Avenue and Carver Road (Ordinance G-6718)
OPPOSE, This case is completely incompatible with land use. Zoning has been the issue and the community has overwhelmingly opposed this case for 13 years. The community has proposed a true compromise and the applicant refuses to meet us in the middle with zoning. I request that Mayor and Council support the community and Councilmember Garcia by denying the applicant's case as filed. The community is the victims here, NOT the applicant.
Our community has expended a great deal of our free time!
I oppose this proposal. From the first community meeting on this until now, I have seen no community member, not one, come out in support of the applicant's zoning chicanery. Our community has expended a great deal of our free time working with Councilman Garcia and opposing the proposal. The paid representatives for the applicant have spent neither their free nor their paid time working with our community.
Please stand and support the community and CM Garcia in opposition of this application as filed. It disrupts the compatibility of our neighborhood. They have continued to be unwilling to work with the neighborhood.
Please stand with CM Garcia and the Community and DENY this case as filed. The current zoning in the surrounding area is: S-1, RE-35, and R1-18 and the Applicant's proposed development is incompatible land use and does not fit in the area.
