The city needs to establish a crisis assistance program that meets the demands of NOCAP (Neighborhood-Organized Crisis Assistance Program) to better serve our community free of terror and violence that comes from policing. Thank you.
Put funding into programs that strengthen our communities, which includes specialized services/calls for people dealing with mental health issues. This type of crisis assistance should not be handled by the police or fire departments; as it's been proven that police and fire are ill-equipped to handle mental health situations. It should be handled by mental health professionals with specialized training, as outlined in the Neighborhood-Organized Crisis Assistance Program letter to City Council.

Yo como madre migrante he sentido la necesidad de tener el acceso a estos servicios y poder estar en un parque sin ser el punto para que la policia me perfilize.
It is not the responsibility of the people to continue funding a failing and dangerous institution. I am strongly against adding any new civilian positions for Phoenix police. Our people need less barriers in order to access housing and shelter, things that are proven to lower crime.
Community response to mental health calls. Not the police, the training is non existent or very poorly acted upon. I suffer from
Mental health and will never call the police if I needed aid or help or allow anyone to call them on my behalf. I am afraid of the police.
Phoenix City Council,
Please support a crisis assistance program that meets the NOCAP demands. The city needs to establish a crisis assistance program that is fully funded, independent of law enforcement, and has direct community oversight. Your healthcare workers appreciate you and we need this service to be separate from public safety or it will not be used. Thank you!
The city must establish a crisis assistance program that is fully funded, independent of law enforcement, and has direct community oversight. This will save lives.

Dear Council, I support funding a new city service for mental health, substance abuse, wellness checks, and unsheltered concerns. The responsibility for developing this program should not be given to the Phoenix Police Department or come from top officials with no community input. I support the Neighborhood-Organized Crisis Assistance Program (NOCAP) coalition’s proposal which is fundamental to the establishment of this crisis assistance service.
Glad to see you are going to do something with the Carnegie Library. Hope you use it to display art work by local artists. It is a beautiful building that should be used and enjoyed/\.
Greetings! Thank you SO much for all your help and support to build the park at 55 Ave and Samantha Way in Laveen area. We have been waiting for it for a Long Time! SO excited and very much looking forward to it! Can not wait! Hopefully it will be built ASAP! We would love to see it within this year! Cheers! Thank you, Mayor Gallego, Deputy City Manager Erickson, Vice Mayor Garcia’s Chief of Staff and Council as well as Linda Abegg! Without you all, we can not reach this far
I am thrilled with the decision to build and maintain the 3 parks in the Laveen/South Mountain area. I fully support and hope this is the beginning of more green equity in Phoenix.
