Tucson and its Mayor sprung into action on a resolution months ago, while our city has been over-focused on __? Not only should it protect Phoenicians from Dobbs fallout & hostile state/local policy, it MUST be inclusive- centering those most at risk of perish. The disabled, unhoused, undocumented, youth, LQBTQ+, Indigenous, Black, Latine, AAPI & mothering communities. Criminalizing pregnancy outcomes w the corrupt, deadliest police force w excessive incarceration rates (AZ)? PASS IT!

I am in full support of this resolution. In the wake of the Dobbs decision, brave Arizonans and people across the country have spoken out about how abortion has improved if not saved their lives. Reproductive and abortion care is healthcare, and they are critical for the wellbeing of Phoenix residents and families.

I support this resolution. Healthcare decisions are matters to be decided with family and physicians, not politicians and courts. Reproductive care, including abortion, is healthcare. Protect the right to autonomy over reproductive decision-making.

I support the resolution. Access to abortions, contraceptive, and women's health care professionals is the only way women will be able to thrive in our society. Taking these rights away from us and our daughters is a sexist and archaic way to try to control and defeat women.

We have a right to care for OUR bodies! Abortion is healthcare! Would you rather force a woman to have babies she doesn’t want, and so she’s forced to go on WELFARE?!?! We pay OUT OF POCKET for abortions, so stop acting like you all are paying for it when you don’t!

The archaic 1864 ban has directly and negatively impacted my own family planning. I support this resolution as a step in the right direction to protecting the bodily autonomy of pregnant people in, and traveling through Phoenix, as well as their caregivers and providers, and urge you to do the same.

Abortion is healthcare and a human right. We live in a democracy where the majority of Americans support the right to choose. Taking away this right is an attack on both women and democracy.

Please support this resolution. Abortion services are healthcare and should be decided upon by women and their healthcare professionals.

Abortion is health care. Government should not interfere with a woman’s access to health care.

Abortion services are healthcare services. I needed to receive 2 D&Cs in my IVF journey to build our family. We now have 3 lovely children. Women need control of their bodies. There are medical and personal reasons to receive abortions and we need to provide women safe, legal avenues to get them. We need to protect the medical professionals who are helping women. Please support this resolution to oppose the harm that the Dobbs decision has created.

The old-timey law dating to 1864 is harmful for Phoenix families. It fails to consider the complexities of health and healthcare impacting families every day, and it threatens jail time for the healthcare providers who care for them. This creates confusion, hesitation, and delays - increasing the risks that pregnant people face. Please support this resolution to oppose the harm that the Dobbs decision is causing here in Phoenix and across Arizona.

Please support this resolution. Women need to be able to make decisions about their own bodies and health with their doctors not governed by archaic laws from 1864!

This is by far the right step in the direction. Arizona can be a leader in choosing to protect people's right to self-government. We should not support removing anyone's bodily autonomy especially something so personal and intimate as the right to choose to carry a pregnancy or not.

Every person should have autonomy over their personal health choices. Forcing women to bear children is the epitome of oppression by an out-of-control state government. It is not right or just. There are many medical reasons for abortion, as well as socio-economic and spiritual reasons. No one should infringe upon a woman’s personal liberty and right to choose.

It is hard to see the government play politics with lives of women who are dying and forced to bear, that can cause irreversible trauma. The system is supposed to help us achieve freedom but when a rape happens men are usually punished with probation not jail. Take the time and think about what this ban would do to women of all our families. please try and open your mind to the possibility of lives being saved with abortions. The government can't control our anatomy without taking our humanity.

Reproductive rights are so important. People that are able to get pregnant deserve to make the choices for their body!

The fact that a law from 1864 is cure making healthcare decisions for women in Arizona is outrageous. All women deserve the right to make their own healthcare decisions in private, with their doctor

    My body my rules!!
Medical decisions should be left between a woman and her doctor .
