Please do not allow reproductive rights to be stripped away from us. Pregnancy should never ever be forced onto anyone under any circumstances. Any decisions related to pregnancy should be left entirely to the pregnant person and their doctor. Someone else’s political and religious beliefs have no place in our private and incredibly personal decisions about our bodies.

It should always be the right of a woman to decide what is the correct course of action for herself, her family and her body.

A woman’s healthcare decisions should be a private decision made with the guidance of healthcare professionals and not subject to the whims of legislators, judges and lawyers. Please afford women the same bodily autonomy that men are given.

Politics has no place in reproductive health. A women's health is between herself and her doctor, not legislators.

The Supreme Court failed to apply the proper level of scrutiny in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. I ask the Arizona State Legislature to repeal A.R.S. §§ 36-2321 to 2326 and all other Arizona laws aimed at limiting or denying full access to reproductive health care, regardless of the circumstances, methods, requirements, cost or outcome of the procedure. Men are not subject to laws limiting their healthcare options based on their gender, nor should women be so subjected.

As a Phoenix physician, I fully support the Council’s resolution. States and government officials should not be in charge of women’s bodies. Reproductive healthcare decisions and what is best and appropriate for a particular patient is a decision made by the patient in-consultation with their physician.
The religion of some should not dictate the healthcare and bodily autonomy of others.

I support this resolution as an expression of the values of a majority of Phoenix residents and call on all City Council members to do the same. The right to bodily autonomy is a fundamental freedom and without it, people who can become pregnant are not truly free.

I urge the Phoenix City Council to do everything in your power to protect the basic human rights of women in our city. Please do not let the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe V Wade put lives at risk here in Phoenix. We cannot go back in history. We cannot let rights of women be stripped.

Roe vs Wade was a landmark decision of the US Supreme Court to protect the rights of women. How we came to overturn this, stripping women of their freedom to control their own bodies I will not understand.
As a city, a state, a country, we need to protect these rights rather than going backwards and allowing some conservative, religious men to dictate what we can and cannot do with our own bodies!

I support this resolution as an expression of the values of a majority of Phoenix residents and call on all City Council members to do the same. The right to bodily autonomy is a fundamental freedom and without it, people who can become pregnant are not truly free. In the absence of the constitutional right to an abortion under Roe v. Wade, we must fight to protect this freedom in Phoenix in the short term and fight to restore this right across the Nation in the long term.

Any pregnancy related decisions, including termination, are the rights of that pregnant individual. Whether you agree or not with that individuals choice should not infringe on that individuals rights. I support the council’s resolution to oppose the Supreme Court decision and state laws against abortion.

Women’s bodies, families and futures should not be dictated by the government or a handful of men in dark robes. Women are the sole owner of their bodies and must make decisions about their health and welfare based on their beliefs, not someone else’s.

I support the City Council taking an enlightened view of women today.

Women’s reproductive rights should be between her and her doctor and safe access to abortion is a basic human right. I support the City of Phoenix in passing this resolution.

Legal and accessible abortions should be available for all women!

The government should not be getting in the middle of women's health. Women should be able to make decisions on their own health care with their medical team. Keep politics out of women's reproductive rights.

Should we even be debating supporting a ban on women's choice that was passed BEFORE women had the right to vote? The Council needs to protect the rights of all citizens by opposing the Supreme Court ruling.

I have never needed an abortion, but taking away a woman’s right to choose is appalling and barbaric. Women need abortions for many highly personal and medically necessary reasons. No government or church has any right to make this decision for her not to judge her. Surely a reasonable solution can be reached. Thank you for supporting the women and girls of Phoenix and all of Arizona by passing this resolution.
