Please keep this money allocated towards child care. It would help so many parents be able to join the workforce if they are able to afford child care. Childcare can be as expensive as a mortgage, and it is would be immeasurably helpful for parents to have affordable child care.

As a Director and former teacher child care plays an important role in supporting working families and the economy. Parents rely on dependable, affordable care so they can work, attend school, and grow in their careers. When child care is not available, it can create challenges for both families and employers, including missed work and staffing issues. Investing in child care helps strengthen families, businesses, and Phoenix’s economy overall.

Please keep the $5 million childcare allocation. I have two childcare centers in Phoenix that serve low-income families- Kindertots and The Phoenix Gan.. Since the DES waitlist was instituted and the cuts to Quality First due to decreased tobacco use, our families are struggling to pay for childcare, and without childcare, they are unable to work. Childcare is such an important issue for our community- it's essential for families, for workers, and for our city.

As the owner of American Child Care, I strongly support this funding. High-quality child care is a necessity, not a luxury. These funds will directly help our hardworking local families afford reliable care while allowing our center to expand services and welcome new families. Investing in child care is an investment in our community's future and economic stability. Please approve this vital funding.

I support the City of Phoenix as it invests in a policy that makes a difference! Please be sure to include funding for early childhood education. Making high quality early childhood experiences accessible and affordable to all families in our community is essential. Let's ensure maximum flexibility for families by allowing them to choose between both private and public programs.

I strongly support keeping the $5 million childcare set-aside in the final Phoenix City Council budget. Affordable, quality childcare is essential for working families, children’s healthy development, and our local economy. Many parents cannot work, pursue education, or maintain financial stability without reliable childcare options. Protecting this funding is an investment in Phoenix families, early childhood development, and workforce stability. I urge the Council to keep the full $5 million.

Please keep the $5 million child care set-aside in the final budget. As a mother of two, this program gave me support and guidance when I had none as a new mom. Without affordable childcare, many parents risk missing work, losing jobs, and falling behind. This funding keeps children safe and cared for while giving families stability and peace of mind. I truly would not be the mother I am today without this help. Please do not take this support away from families like mine.

Please keep the $5M child care set-aside in the final budget! Practical investments like this are the reason I chose to live and raise my family in Phoenix.

For many families, child care is one of the biggest barriers to staying employed or pursuing education.
This investment is a practical step that supports families and strengthens Phoenix’s economy. Please
protect the $5 million child care set-aside in the final budget. Thank you.

Please keep the $5 million child care set-aside in the final budget. Child care helps parents work, helps children learn, and helps employers keep a stable workforce. As a mother of 3, I could not have worked or pursued higher education without quality and affordable childcare options. This investment is a practical step that supports families and strengthens Phoenix’s economy.
