Due to the huge losses in officers and increase in violence, Phoenix PD needs to add drones to their toolkit of resources to keep us safe. Other AZ cities already use drones. I support agenda item #83 with 4th Amendment protections added to the operating procedures consistent with other provisions Phoenix PD is already required to follow.
Without having public input! No way! These can be abused by police departments. Our forth amendment rights should be considered regardless of scare tactics brought by the department.
I strongly support our police. RECENTLY two friends of mine have been attacked; one did not survive. Common Sense has to Prevail. Normal people cannot possibly have the tools to protect themselves and their families safely & properly. You must you MUST give it to the police.

Feb 11th was not the first time a drone had to be borrowed from a nearby law enforcement agency. As the largest in the region, Phoenix PD should be leading the way in utilizing technology – especially with a severe shortage of officers. The report lists specific units where the use of sUAS technology will benefit our police department.
I am a precinct committeeman in Phoenix. Given the critical understaffing of local law enforcement and surge in violent crime, Phoenix PD needs drones as a tool to keep residents safe. Other AZ cities already successfully utilize drones.

Drones are an invaluable tool for saving lives of law enforcement officers and citizens. Drones can be used to assist officers with criminal activity (hostage, active shooter, suspicious package/bomb, rioting, locate suspects, etc.) as well as traffic investigations, search and rescue ops, etc. Privacy concerns may be addressed with regulations and making drone usage data public. Please support our community, both its citizenry and first responders, by voting yes on drones for Phoenix.
