    Mayor and Council,
I urge you to vote Yes on this amendment. For the past decade Phoenix has been one of the fastest growing cities in the country yet our police force has not grown at all. A large number of our most senior officers are eligible for retirement at a time when we need them most. I believe this amendment will help solve the recruiting and retention problems currently facing the PPD and the people I have spoken to in the community support this. Please vote yes.

I am a PC and I support this agenda item. Our response times are some of the worst in the country! We need more officers on the streets! Take care of those that take care of us! These men and women are heroes, they do it all; Car wrecks, fires, stray animals, homeless, domestic disputes, I could go on and on. They respond to everything! They don't care what the situation is nor do they care about color, race, creed, or religion the caller is they come! Please support them!

It’s imperative to maintain law and order in our society. Without officers being paid their worth you will not attract, hire and train qualified quality officers. Crime is already at an all time high. Do you want to be remembered for being the cause of more crime because you chose to not pay these men and women a decent salary. How many more Phoenix Officers have to be shot for you to wake up and pay these people for their risks taken in this progressive non sense World. Stand up for the Blue .

I fully support funding the police. We need more officers with the increase in population. Whatever we can do to support them, we should be doing. Increased pay will help build a safe community which is the foundation of a healthy community - and necessary for continued investment and growth in the city.

Cops aren't leaving because of pay. They are leaving because they've realized how problematic policing is and that they are incapable to do anything about it from inside the system.

All that will happen if we pay more, is that we will recruit racist white surpremists to move to our city because we pay Phoenix Police to harass and kill our Black and Indigenous neighbors and don't hold them accountable for their harm. #NoPiggyPayRaise #NoRaiseForProudBoys and #NoKlanRecruitment

We need to increase every monetary incentive available to obtain and keep more Police Officers. We have a $74 mil surplus and we need to spend every available dollar to increase our police department. Phoenix has not done anything in many years to retain or increase our police staffing. Today we are seeing the consequence of those actions. Every available dollar needs to be used to keep our citizens and our police force safe.

Police Officer support is the pinnacle to society. Without peace officers, lawlessness and brutality ensues and people take the law into their own hands. They put their lives on the line and deserve to be paid for it!
