We need to keep and retain our Public Employees that we have invested do much in. They deserve a fair, living wage in accordance with current inflation.
Please vote yes to support the men and women in blue. We are the 5th largest city in the US. We need to have salaries that support the workload and number of people served.
PLEASE support this! We have seen an increase in crime in our neighborhood (off of 32nd St and Union) with 2 shootings in the last 6 months. This used to be considered a "good neighborhood". With a stronger PPD, crime will lessen....it's just common sense! The PPD needs to know the people of this city support them and are grateful for the way the put themselves in harms way every day! PLEASE support! Thank you!
Please support this item .This will help the city compete with other cities in the state of Az in attracting and retaining the best people possible. 76% of the Phx voters support increased police funding. Our violent crime rates have risen by 24% Public Safety must be the #1 priority for the mayor and council. Please support this item and work to make this city safe again. The ideas that some of our councilors have tried to force on all the citizens of phx. have led to nothing but rampant crime.
Support Phoenix Police and to give them the much needed Raise. I think they should be getting 4x what they're getting because of the hard job they have and the horrible abuse from the 4 city council police haters and their police hate groups who cause nothing but problems.
My family and neighbors aren't safe. Our children aren't safe. Crime is out of control. The only people who don't want more Police are criminals.
Please vote to increase pay. Let's set the goal to have 3000 more officers to keep Phoenix safe. No more car theft no more rape no more drugs no more crime no more arson no more pedophile no more child sex trafficking. Enough is enough
Yes pay them more. They should be paid 5x as much for what they do. The only people that don't like Police are criminals. Phoenix is the hub for child Porn and child sex trafficking. We need more Police to protect our kids.
Vote yes on this given the nature of the job and the pay considering the pay officers get in cities around Phoenix. Everyday they are on the job, they are putting themselves in harms way for the residents of Phoenix.
Why do they deserve a pay raise? For being investigated by the DOJ? For not having a good relationship with the people they are supposedly supposed to "protect"
Given the dangerous nature of the service these officers provide our city, I feel it is incumbent on our city of pay these officers commensurate with the nature of the job the provide. Crime and violence are rising and they find themselves often right in the middle of it. Please vote YES on the pay increase for these officers. Without them, we would be living in chaos.
We need more policemen and policewoman to enforce our laws to protect law-abiding citizens and their property, and to keep our city a place to work and live. We need to have a competitive pay scale to keep the police we have, and attract new hires. Policing can be a dangerous job, as the headlines show us. Their pay should certainly be in proportion to their responsibilities and the risks associated with them.
Vote YES!!
Give the people who protect YOU and YOUR FAMILY the income they desperately need. Their job is so stressful and the toll on them and their families is unimaginable. The least you can do is to show support to them by giving them a wage that reflects their sacrifice, if only a fraction of what they actually deserve.
Vote yes on amendment to ensure competitive pay to one of the most important resources we have at the city, our law enforcement officers. Our officers are critical to the stability of the infrastructure of Phoenix. We are losing officers at an alarming rate, translating into a surge in crime within our city. The mayor and city council should show support for our officers and prioritize public safety as it is definitely a priority for Phoenix residents.
Completely Support Paying our Police a decent salary! They put their lives on the line every day and need to be appreciated by giving them a living wage!
As with Item 71, please vote yes on this Item 72. Fund the police in a fashion worthy of the fifth largest city in the nation. The referenced report for this item is disgraceful - make their compensation competitive as is recommended. It is evident daily that we need them. Defund the police initiatives have driven every city into the ground where they have been adopted - prompting an exodus of citizens as crimes increase unchecked. Don’t let this happen to Phoenix. Please vote YES!
Vote no. Don’t reward the police department who is being investigated by the DOJ and who is harassing people who are unhoused. They don’t make us safer. They don’t prevent crime all they do is respond after the fact. Please listen to the people who have been harmed by police including black and brown people.
We need to keep and retain our Public Employees that we have invested do much in. They deserve a fair, living wage in accordance with current inflation.
We need to attract and retain competent & effective Police Officers. I support

I strongly support increase pay for Phoenix Police officers to match what other neighboring cities are paying
