The City of Phoenix must not backtrack on what voters have repeatedly supported — expanding light rail in the city. No more delays or studies. It’s embarrassing that this is where we are right now.
I strongly support option 1 as do the multitudes of voters who have shown support for this project. Any other outcome is rooted squarely in personal agendas rather than the wishes of the people. It is time for this project to move forward as planned.
It’s morally and fiscally responsible to vote yes on the light rail expansion. It’s only going to cost more if you “wait and see”.
And making a decision based on the opposition is a logical fallacy based a lack of evidence, deceptive and promotes a straw man argument.
This council championed the south central light rail extension, and should also show the same care for those in west phoenix. Everyone benefits from useful public transit and the majority of people in Phoenix have voted and voiced time and time again, that we want this. Real concerns should be opportunities to solve, not reasons to stop the project. For example, small businesses need more support during light rail construction. This city and community can find ways to solve these kinds of issues
As a resident of Oakland historic neighborhood, I ask you to support building the CapEX either on the 16th Ave North or South lines. We've been asked multiple times as a neighborhood, as a council and at least four times as a city in elections whether we wanted this line. We've said yes every time. Option 2 jeopardizes critical federal funding we earned and does not specify a real alternative as kicking a near-ready project down the line fails as a solution to the city's transportation needs.
I strongly support the Capitol Extension as do the voters who’ve already voted in favor of it four times. To consider killing a project that’s already received so much support and study would be irresponsible and insulting to your constituents. Please, move forward with this project to allow much needed infrastructure improvements extending into the West Valley.
The Capitol Extension is a much-needed and notable project for Valley Metro and is ideal for getting more passengers onto the metro. Especially with how the city has grown, this extension through our Government Mall area is best for
everyone, visitors and commuters alike. I have preferences for the 16th Ave South option as that alternative is closest to the capitol and serves areas with high development potential while also leaving available space for new lines and expansions in the future.
Accessible public transportation is critical for Phoenix. We are a large city that needs density, affordability and transit alternatives. Especially in the core areas of downtown.
I support continuing the Capital Extension and I-10 West Light Rail Expansion projects. Voter have shown time and again storing support for transit. Building out the network will give people more options for movement and bring us towards a stronger and well connected future.
I strongly support the light rail expansion! I believe it’s important for building a better future and stitching communities together. It’s especially important for those who can’t drive, either from physical disabilities or from lack of access to a vehicle. Please vote yes!!
I strongly support the CAPEX and I-10 extensions. Please get this in motion so we can invest in our light rail infrastructure and focus on connecting the people of the valley to jobs and opportunity!
The CAPEX light rail extension is overdue and essential to connecting the West Valley to the system. Phoenix has voted for more light rail many times. It’s your duty to follow the will of the voters whom you serve.
I strongly support option 1 and moving forward with the capitol extension. There has been overwhelming support from Phoenix voters on this project. Residents deserve this transit option and have been waiting for over a decade. No more re-evaluations!
I strongly support moving forward with option 1 and selecting either the 15th Ave or 16th Ave route.
This project has been in planning for over a decade, and has been approved by voters multiple times.
It would be short-sighted and irresponsible to let federal funding expire on a transit project that will improve the lives of the people you serve.
Let's expand light rail now!
The CAPEX and I-10 expansion routes are crucial to continuing to connecting people with not only their jobs but also to their government and each other. This is much needed investment into our people that has been delayed for too long. To pull it now would be irresponsible. Keep the CAPEX and I-10 expansion project.

Please vote yes on the capitol extension and the I 10 W. extension of the Light Rail.

I would love to see these projects come to life! Not only will it help the community, but the environment as well!
I support the expansion of the light rail, it’ll create more accessibility for people in those areas and will help the environment and the community.

I support the light rail!!!

I support both the capitol extension and the completion of the East/West line. Light rail is a great benefit for our retired citizens.
