I strongly support choosing Option 1 (retain CAPEX), but with the 7th Avenue option and going via Grand Avenue to serve the emerging Grand Avenue Arts District.

Please do not kill this expansion. Our votes have already shown our support for this light rail and we don’t want re-evaluation. I’m so excited for the idea of an expanded light rail.

I strongly the construction of the CAPEX portion of light rail expansion.

As a business owner and a homeowner in Central Phoenix, I think the light rail expansion is a huge step forward for our community.

It is expected to spur economic development, reduce pollution and congestion, and improve the quality of life for many of our residents.

The people of Phoenix have voted to support the project, and we expect it to proceed.

I think 16th North or 16th Ave South would both be good options.

To exit the FTA process after getting this far, that’s just irresponsible. irresponsible to your constituents, irresponsible to the progress we have made in PHX.

There is no beating around the bush here. It’ll end up just like the I-10 bus tunnel. “Oh it’ll be considered in the future” AKA, “never.” Fast forward to 2025, that bus tunnel is still sitting empty, unused. A lot of people here, myself included say “don’t California my Arizona” and yet here we are trying to build a copy of LA.

I grew up in the west valley on a bicycle in the early 2000s and 2010s, I want more valley metro investments out to the west valley.
I don't want any more delays or re evaluations
I want option one and I want it approved now. I won't accept another delay.

Vote yes to expand!! We are the 5th biggest city in the country and we need to be a big boy city and actually prioritize expansion.

I am a resident of CD4 and a State employee who commutes to the Capitol Mall daily. I also frequent the West Valley to visit friends and family and for entertainment. These light rail extension projects are critical for our city. I implore this council to vote for continuing the work already done on the alignments proposed by Valley Metro. The further study of other potential routes will almost certainly kill this project entirely.

This project has long been a part of the vision of transportation in Phoenix and needs to move forward with one of the current alignments (I prefer 16th South) or we risk losing millions of dollars in federal funding and a very real likelihood of never seeing further expansion of the light rail. I depend on the light rail for 80% of my travel in the valley and so do thousands of other residents, we deserve the same commitment you provider to drivers. Do the right thing and vote yes to expand.

I am in support of moving forward with the Capitol Extension of the light rail (Option 1). This project is a crucial investment in our city’s infrastructure and future, in particular in how it can promote equitable access to housing and opportunity.

Moving forward with a solid plan now will provide clarity to residents and developers, accelerate planning, and ensure that the vital benefits of this project are realized without unnecessary delay.

I am in support of moving forward with the CAPEX (Option 1). For far too long, the West Valley has seen major public investments discussed, delayed, or redirected elsewhere, leaving residents waiting for the same level of commitment made to other parts. Advancing this project is a step toward correcting that pattern. This extension is a crucial investment in our city’s infrastructure and future, particularly in its ability to promote equitable access to housing, jobs, and opportunity.

We must approve a new route and advance the CAPEX and 10WEST LRT extensions.
