It is unconscionable to further displace our neighbors during a global pandemic.

Stop this flagrant attack on the rights of our unhouse neighbors! These people deserve to be here and they deserve a dignified existence.

We are in a global health pandemic and this proposal does nothing to address the victim, the real life humans that will be displaced from this untimely request. This is an unnecessary and disgusting form of covert racism and plain indecency and is something that should be striken down as such! How dare the city of Phoenix and our country even allow people to be displaced from their homes ever, especially during a crisis. This is shameful & must be condemned. HAVE A HEART!! What would Jesus do???

STOP THE ABUSE OF UNSHELTERED PEOPLE. They deserve a place to live and the least the City Council can do is allow them to remain where they are if the council will not provide shelter for everyone. Each human deserves to have a place to exist. Being without a house is not a crime and Phoenix should not treat it as such.

No, where are these unhoused people supposed to go? The city keeps closing places in which homeless people exist and stay without providing alternatives or resources. The city should be providing resources to these unhoused people, but if not that then the least the city can do is leave the few places that unhoused people can stay, alone.

We should support our unsheltered community members and not just force them from place to place. This is not the solution. I oppose

Displacing our unsheltered neighbors is violence. Criminalizing our unsheltered neighbors is violence. Voting for this appeal is violence. Council should consider putting time and energy into initiatives that actually HELP, not hurt our communities. Like defunding Phoenix PD & putting that money into social services, housing, healthcare, etc. Listen to the Phoenix community. Actually READ these comments & you will see that voting no is the right thing to do.

No. It is not in the best interest of the community to further criminalize our unhoused neighbors.

The least the city can do it leave people in peace. How can you treat humans that are the same as you as less than? Living without a home must be hard enough without the threat of being displaced or violently harassed every day.

Phoenix city council, I want to ask you a question: who do you serve? You all made a choice to run for a public service office and yet here is a measure that would treat people you are meant to serve as less than human once again. Do better. Serve everyone. Look beyond your own experiences to be willing to look at what you choose not to see. Learn to reimagine with every single person what the city of Phoenix can be because “this is just the way it is” is unacceptable.

The language in this proposal frames human beings as trash that can simply be cleared away. The city has endlessly persecuted the unhoused while simultaneously providing no other options or relief. Where else can these folks go? Please, strike down this appeal and focus on taking concrete steps to provide relief for our unhoused neighbors, rather than criminalize them.

Houseless individuals deserve a safe space to camp. This is the least we can do for them! Stop the madness and allow this spot to stay available for people!

Please do not criminalize housless individuals living in this area amid a pandemic and among the holiday season. I live only blocks from this area and visit often. If not in this area- where should these individuals and families go? I work in mental health and we are unable to get our thousands of clients housing because there are multiple year waitlists for any housing or treatment options. Please vote for humanity and decency and vote no on this.
