I support option 1, as well as the vast majority of the public. This option has already been vetted and we don't need to spend more money on unnecessary studies. Instead, we need to move forward with option 1, which will set us up to save money on maintenance in the future, decrease traffic on our streets, and connect our communities.
I support Option 1 as it will provide more opportunities for residents to travel through the city without adding to traffic which would make our roads safer.
I strongly urge the City to support Option 1 and move forward with the Capitol Extension and I-10 West Light Rail project. Canceling or delaying this project will not reduce I-10 traffic—it will make it worse. Light rail is a proven solution that connects people to jobs, strengthens our economy, and benefits all Phoenix residents. West Phoenix deserves real transit investment.
Since the South Central Extension has been in operation, I have used the Light Rail for trips to the airport and downtown events. The more you build the Light Rail, the more people will use it.
All three of these options have been vetted and the math makes sense. To do nothing would be to fail our fellow citizens. I support option 1 - We need more rail!
I support the light rail expansion. This has been in the works for a while and has had many people excited. The light rail will provide people with faster and more convenient transportation especially those with disabilities and without any other form of transit other than public transport. Please keep working on this project it will bring more opportunity and economic benefits to everyone who uses it.
The light rail is a sorely needed addition to our transportation infrastructure, and keeping projects going has so many benefits, it builds local skills in our state, to make the construction process more efficient, it creates more service opportunities for the people near by the newly added rail, and it offers a sorely needed alternative for more diverse forms of transportation, we need to support our light rail, and keep projects going, DO NOT CANCEL!
I support option 1. I live in maryvale and know my community would greatly benefit from the addition of the light rail on any of the main streets of Indian school road or Thomas. The traffic from the west towards the city is one of the longest waits and a light rail would help solve this issue. More people could get/keep jobs and more economic growth from outings during weekends, less drunk driving, better maryvale. Time to light the West!!
I support the light rail extension. I have lived in Arizona for 15+ years and used the transit system for many of those years, and I plan to continue to do so. We as a society must push towards more options for transportation other than cars. We are killing the only planet we all have to live on and that's literally not an exaggeration at all! The people have voted for this and overwhelmingly want it. Please do the right thing and continue the extension for the light rail.
I've lived on the West Side for almost all my life. When I was in college, my dad would drive me to the 19th Ave. & Camelback Station, the nearest light rail station for me to commute to school and work in Tempe. The light rail opened up possibilities for me to pursue my education and find a job, especially when money for a car and gas were tight. A West PHX light rail would open up possibilities for more residents to access education and job opportunities, as I did. Please back the extension.
I support neither option 1 nor option 2. Instead, I advocate an alternative option 1.5: Extend light rail to the Capitol but forego the proposed second phase along I-10. The nation's most populous state capital city should absolutely have high capacity transit to its state capitol building. However, continuing farther west via a freeway makes little sense due to insufficient destinations within walking distance. Instead, Maryvale should be served by transit via Thomas and/or Indian School roads.
I support Option 1! I will be extremely disappointed if the City of Phoenix fails to listen to the voters on this issue, who've voted four different times in support. Residents want more light rail. We absolutely do not need further delays, or even worse to completely scrap the project. Let's be a forward-looking city and give an alternative to driving. TIP subcommittee, let's do this!
I am in support of Option 1 on this agenda item. We need to move forward with this CAPEX; otherwise, costs will increase with inflation, re-design, and delays. 62% of residents from the recent meetings want Option 1, so please vote with the overwhelming folks in the city. Thank you, Denis.

I strongly support option 1, this is a win for the people of Phoenix. This creates jobs, tax dollars, and takes cars off the already congested roads.
