It’s time to reopen the fields. Our children have suffered enough. This shut down has had and continues to have an adverse affect on our kids. We need to start thinking about their social emotional well being. Opening the fields/parks will help in reconnecting the children and allowing them to move forward.

City of Phoenix provides a significant percentage of training and game fields and without access, the physical, emotional, and psychological impact on youth athletes in our community without sports is dramatic. Some students unable to travel to communities where community fields are open are dropping out and taking a less healthy sedentary lifestyle. Please trust parents to make the right decision for their child to return to play and open the fields. Allow youth sports clubs to resume.

We would greatly appreciate it if the city would consider opening baseball fields for youth play. We believe that baseball can be played safely and in accordance with guidelines prescribed by city and state health officials. Children have been adversely affected by the lack of social and emotional connections that are necessary for proper child development and the re-opening of baseball fields would go a long way to help our community reconnect and move forward. Thank you for your consideration

Re open all parks, fields and schools so we as a society can return to some sense of normalcy before the harm of this shutdown does permit damage on the youth of America.

Opening fields for youth sports is the right thing to do for Phoenix. The negative impacts to Phoenix and its citizens economically, socially and physically are felt at all ages. With appropriate protocols and discipline as developed by organizations like Arizona Soccer Association we can achieve positive outcomes. Outside activities are proven to be less risky and getting kids, especially those who aren't from good homes back on the field with their friends and coaches is best for our community

Physical activity is important to both the physical and mental well being of our children, and participating in team sports is important as well. I am a parent whose son plays soccer on City of Phoenix fields. Our RSL AZ club, and the Arizona Soccer Association have proven their commitment to following the proposed department of health guidelines and take extra precautions to protect children and their families. We urge you to re-open these parks and fields immediately.

Open our parks back up to us, our children and youth sports like Scottsdale Cal Ripkin. It is reasonable to take steps to protect the public at the beginning of an outbreak while the risks assoc. with it are investigated. We are well past that phase now. The risks of hospitalization or death to anyone from COVID19 are very low, and for kids its even a fraction of that. Forcing kids to stay home 24/7 hurts them. Their socialisation & physical and mental wellness suffer when they are secluded. Thx

Please re-open the fields to those programs with clear "returning safely" practices and guidelines in place. I want the fields open to those committed to keeping our kids safe.

Please re-open the fields. Our kids need physical activity to support their emotional and physical wellness.

I am a parent whose son plays soccer on City of Phoenix fields. I am requesting that you please open city parks and fields. Our club PRDF and the AZ Soccer Association have proven their commitment to following department of health guidelines and take extra precautions to protect children and their families. As a parent I will continue abiding by social distancing and health and safety guidelines should our youth be permitted to return to soccer on City of Phoenix fields. Thank you!

Please re-open the fields and allow our kids to play baseball again. As a coach and parent, I recognize the importance for our kids and families to return to structured physical activity. Leagues have already informed us of their guidelines and we are prepared to enforce them. Baseball is an inherently socially distanced sport with minimal contact while being safe with masks and safety measures. Please re-open our fields and let the kids play again.

Please reopen the city parks and fields immediately. It is utterly ridiculous that one of the very few places where kids can socially distance and get exercise has been closed for 6 months. OPEN THE FIELDS NOW!!

Our kids need to get back to life - everything has been stripped from them. Sports are such a wonderful way to engage with others, learn about sportsmanship and also allow the kids to have some fun which is something they have been missing for the last six months.

We need to open city parks for youth sports. CDC studies continue to show that the risk of spread outdoors is extremely low, especially when proper safety measures are followed. We have shown as a city we can be responsible and follow the necessary protocols. It's imperative for the well being of our children to allow them to be outdoors, to socialize, to compete and to be in a team environment.

As a mother of three very active children they need and want to be back outside and on the fields. Please consider opening the parks and fields. As parents and coaches we will be responsible and take all precautions.

Open the Baseball fields. I ditto all the others who support the opening of fields. Also with the recent CDC news that should tell you about how inaccurate the covid numbers were this past 6 months and there is a lot less concern

It’s time to let our kids be kids!! In this world we have a choice to have our kids play baseball or not to. I choose to have my son play the game he loves!! Please consider the damage this is doing to our youth by keeping the parks closed.
