Do not fund illegal immigrants, fund our SMALL BUSINESS programs, our veterans, homeless population and the police. Prioritizing funding for the arts and illegals over mental health programs, students, police and families is reckless and doesn’t reflect the needs of the community. You work for us, this is taxpayers money. Do your job and fund the right things.

We need to keep our streets safe. Allocating monies to art and childcare for airport employees is fine, AFTER the city council addresses the issue of rising crime in the City of Phoenix. I don’t need art to look at while I am being victimized by criminals and airport workers won’t need childcare if they get shot on the way to work. Where are our priorities?? Safety first. Safety always first. The rest can wait.

I strongly support funding for arts and culture with a portion of this federal funding. This funding will help arts organizations and artists throughout the City and is a key investment in jobs and our economy. The arts sector generated $9.3 billion to Arizona’s economy in 2019 and employed over 90,000 Arizonans, with the majority of that economic activity benefiting Phoenix. Arts and culture are also a critical source of emotional support for our community when it is needed most. Thank you!

The Phoenix police department is the most violent in the country, and one of the most funded. We do not need any additional funds going towards this department. We need to support our community as the effects of COVID-19 are still here, and will be for years to come. However we can use our funds to help our communities WITHOUT the police, is the most important. If we hve no mental health programs for our communities, how can we come out of this pandemic?

no more money to phoenix police. prioritize people most in need of covid relief. hear the collective call: mental health, rent, utilities, public transport, childcare, shelter for everone.

Impacts of covid on mental health of Phx residents is going to last long beyond the pandemic. Communities of color & poor folks were hit hardest & are at serious risk of being left behind in the recovery. Phx police repeatedly punish, brutalize, & kill our people for experiencing a mental health crisis. We must prioritize free, easily accessible mental health care for POC, youth, & people experiencing poverty. It is essential to keeping folks safe & able to recover in Phx.

I strongly oppose! Stop allocating funds to illegal immigrants. We have a homeless population that should be taken care of before illegal immigrants!!!

Approval of this Rescue Plan and its support of the Arts is crucial to the city and its residents.

This allocation of relief funds is mismanagement, and a disservice to the people of Arizona. The funds should be used primarily to help small businesses who were impacted or shut down; both owners and employees of these businesses need help, and right now only 5.05% of the funds are proposed to go to help them. We should not be providing a $3M lure for illegal immigrants by teaching them how to qualify for government programs, while so many of our own citizens are homeless right now.

This proposal shows a profound misunderstanding of the community’s needs and priorities. However well intentioned, we have a whole generation of students at all grade levels who have missed not less than one full year of classroom instruction, our crime is skyrocketing and many who are not homeless have experienced serious mental health challenges. These glaring needs are totally ignored. Please reject this and re-prioritize for safe neighborhoods and funding for additional patrol officers.

This Strategic Plan will be beneficial to all citizens of the Valley. The Art Community has been hammered by COVID-19, and its recovery will be very slow. This Plan will help it to recover a little faster.

Fund the police! Stop with rewarding illegals.

Put our tax money into public safety! Anti-police members of this council are set on fulfilling personal agendas; not representing constituents. Violent crimes including homicide occur on a daily basis in Districts 5, 7, & 8. Carlos Garcia's agenda does not square with the majority of Phoenix residents who demand a police department capable of providing service to a city our size. The current one has been run into the ground due to a lack of support and leadership from this council!

We DO NOT need anymore money going to the PHX PD, over the past year we have paid MILLIONS of dollars to the department for overtime. This money needs to go to people who actually need it. We have a serious homelessness crisis going on right now and we need to start thinking more about the community, social and human issues. Less about giving a department who already has millions of dollars.

NO funding for immigrants, art programs, childcare for airport workers only or the convention center. We have other priorities that need to be addressed first. It's shameful what's happening to veterans, schools, and businesses impacted by the Covid lockdowns, just to name a few.

I oppose use of COVID funding to support Immigrant Asylum Seekers and Art Programs. Instead I support funding for local businesses shut down during the pandemic, police to keep our neighborhoods safe, and victims of homelessness, domestic violence, and mental illness caused by lockdowns. Please support the citizen businesses and people in our communities before immigrants, and please support essentials over art programs!

The tax payers money should be allocated to help keep our city safe. Not teach illegals and asylum seekers how to use welfare system. Giving free child care to select individuals. Really! Money should be allocated to our police officers and our veterans who put their lives on the line and fought for our freedom. I’m tired of these politicians using our money to fund their own agendas.

$0 to those IMPACTED by COVID19 including SURVIVORS of mental health & domestic VIOLENCE. Ignoring sm businesses is DESTROYING ARTS & CULTURE! $0 for 5th-12th grade & THOSE BEHIND IN MATH & SCIENCE IS DESTROYING ARTS & CULTURE! IGNORING 180% INCREASE IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE DEATHS, 44% INCREASE IN HOMICIDES & GANG VIOLENCE TRIPLING w/ $0 to MAKE NEIGHBORHOODS SAFE is DESTROYING ARTS & CULTURE! PROTECT ARTS & CULTURE & FUND SAFETY IN NEIGHBORHOODS, MORE ED FUND, & SM BUSINESS & VET SUPPORT!
