In solidarity with directly impacted leadership I repeat the demands we’ve stated since November and place responsibility for PPD’s violence in city council’s hands. If City Council wants to actually advocate for true justice and accountability, they need to fire Ed, Jeri, and all the cops involved AND pay reparations to the people whose lives were ruined by these political prosecutions. We don’t need more ceremonial investigations! We need you to defund Phoenix PD.

In solidarity with directly impacted leadership -I repeat the demands stated since November and place responsibility for PPD’s violence in City Council’s hands. True advocacy, justice, and accountability on the City's part starts with firing Ed, Jeri, and all the cops involved AND paying reparations to the people whose lives were ruined by these blatant political prosecutions. No more taxpayer funded ceremonial investigations! We need you to divest Phoenix PD funding & care for citizens first.

I support Chief Jeri Williams as the person best qualified to correct the problems currently in the Phoenix Police Department that were identified by the independent investigations and the DOJ. I do not support any move to fire or removed from her position.

We want real accountability. Fire the leadership and officers involved, strip them of pensions. Pay reparations to those who were subject to the Phoenix PD's political persecution.

Carlos Garcia seems to think he lives in Mexico DF where cartels and gangs run the streets and the government. This is the USA where crime is punishable by law. Street protestors who cause destruction are CRIMINALS. He thinks he can wear t-shirts with political messages while on city property and yet accuse an officer for purchasing a token that in his opinion contradicts his political believes?Double standards do not earn respect. Carlos Garcia is the one constantly evoking hate speech. Resign!

Spend more taxpayer money on another investigation? Black people have told this council for well over a year, and the council could resist. ABC15 revealed the same, and the council again did the minimum to hide their motives and appear competent. The DOJ noticed and Ballard Spahr confirmed, and you still want to waste money to pretend you care and cover up your fortification of a police state. Jeri's 3-day weekend is not punishment either. Fire them, no pensions; quit wasting money.

Phoenix PD may have flaws (what organization doesn't), however, the demands in this document are more reminiscent of an attempted coup rather than suggestions for improvement. Garcia, Guardado and Pastor should be investigated for this attempt at backdoor democracy. These three have a lack of respect for any authority, whether it be the police or their immediate chain of command and have NO credibility and no understanding of leadership and policing. Who is the actual puppet master of these 3?

It is extremely short-sighted to believe a change in leadership will solve 100 years of institutional racism. We must seek innovative ways to address this old problem with all interested at the table. This problem requires all hands on deck not throwing some overboard. Our Chief and City Manager did not create this problem but they have done and are doing everything within their power to solve it. Many bad eggs have been fired and others will follow. Await the investigation results then act.

In solidarity with directly impacted leadership I repeat the demands we’ve stated since November and place responsibility for PPD’s violence in City Council’s hands. It’s your duty to ensure accountability for the actions of the PPD and prevent further costly harm to our community. All the PPD leadership and officers involved in the gang charges against protesters must be fired. They need to be stripped of their pensions and decertified with their salaries reallocated to reparations.

I was born and raised here and in my adult years have never seen such vile and vulgar behavior from a City Council person and his minions, whom he incites. I have nothing but positive interactions with PHX PD. As a neighborhood leader, I partner with PD in order to help prevent crime. Chief Williams is the person to bring the Phoenix Police Department through this time of department inspection and bolstering. Please don't support these demands.

At what point does Councilperson Garcia step down for violating the city charter and acting as a deliberate disgrace to the City. He represents HIMSELF only and not the people of the City Of Phoenix or his district.

FIRE Ed Zuercher, Chief Williams, Sgt. McBride, all officers involved in gang charges against protesters, and all officers who aided in the circulation of the Neo-Nazi challenge coin. Revoke the pensions of all involved officers, including former officers. Disband TRU, DOU, SID, and Assaults Detail. Disband PLEA. AZPOST must decertify all involved officers. Reallocate funding from the disbanded TRU, DOU, SID, and Assaults Detail units for reparations to every person politically targeted by PPD.

The recent findings on this matter demonstrate how systemic practices negatively impact race and community relations between Phoenix citizens and PD. Not acknowledging or correcting policies that initiate bad practices must be addressed by the City Manager. Chief Williams is not the problem here. Renew public trust. Hire an outside non-bias legal expert to review policies and create processes that ensure lines of authority for actions taken by PhxPD against Phoenix residents.
