The vaccine is safe and effective and FDA approved. Being a City employee and getting vaccinated shows we care about the public we serve and that public safety is important to us. I do not feel safe returning to the office without knowing coworkers are vaccinated and as a citizen I do not feel safe interacting with a workforce with a low vaccination rate.

I strongly reject & oppose this mandate! Stop hiding under the blatantly false claim that city workers are federal contractors. Forcing an experimental medical procedure on city employees or anyone for that matter, is unconstitutional and a crime against their personal sovereignty. DO YOUR JOB AND STOP THIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL MANDATE!

This must be stopped IMMEDIATELY. Council if you don’t stop this, the collapse of our wonderful city will be ON YOUR SHOULDERS. How dare you.

Employees with Covid are out of work at least 10 days. This means healthy employees have to work overtime to cover those absences. I am tired of seeing outbreaks at work. I am saddened by the coworkers who died from Covid and to those whose family members died. Everyone being vaccinated will greatly diminish all of this. I wish more people could have come to this conclusion on their own so there didn’t have to be a mandate but since they couldn’t I support a mandate.

I strongly disagree with the mandate to force a vaccine that people don’t want. It should be an individuals right to choose.

I strongly reject & oppose this mandate! This authoritarian overreach is despicable. As a resident & homeowner of District 8, I expect my elected Councilman to represent ALL constituents & put personal agendas aside. The Council’s job is to keep our city safe & thriving. This mandate accomplishes the exact OPPOSITE of that. Crime is out of control. Stop hiding under the blatantly false claim that city workers are federal contractors. DO YOUR JOB AND STOP THIS UNCONSTITUTIONAL MANDATE!

Over 20,000 people in AZ have died from Covid-19, and more are suffering long-lasting impacts from getting the virus. We have enough data to know the vaccine is safe and effective. Please pass the mandate to protect employees and residents, especially those who are not able to get the vaccine because of health issues or those who have a weakened immune system. As a COP employee with a history of immune system issues, I would feel much safer at work knowing my colleagues are also vaccinated.

As a District 8 homeowner I have extreme objections to this mandate. It oversteps the Council’s legal and moral authority, is unconstitutional, and violates the Nuremberg Code. As elected officials, your focus should be to improve the communities you represent, NOT to put its members livelihoods at risk. The crime rate in this city is skyrocketing & this mandate will steepen the cities decline, soon to match the worst in the country. Stick to your oaths & stay out of employees’ bodies!

STOP THE MANDATE. Executive Order 14042 has been stopped by multiple judges - it is an unconstitutional mandate by the federal government - an overreach into American lives. An employer NEVER has the right to tell someone what to put into their body. THIS HAS TO STOP NOW

    I oppose this vaccine mandate.

The mandate is unconstitutional and an overreach. Americans, especially our first responders, deserve medical freedom. The covid vaccines have not been available long enough to ensure a level of confidence in their efficacy. This alone should nullify the mandate.

First and foremost, this mandate is completely unconstitutional and should be nullified immediately. This is also unethical and violates the Nuremberg code. I suggest that this body vote this down because it is morally the right thing to do. Furthermore if this does not happen this body can be held accountable for violating both the constitution of the United States and the Nuremberg code which can produce severe punishment to any person or persons found complicit! There will be lawsuits filed.

Vaccines are essential to public health and modern society. This is an easy way to make our workplace safer (so would telework). Also it wouldn't make sense to cut ties with the federal government...

This mandate is horrendous. No one, in the city, state, across the country, should be forced to take a vaccine. Especially in the United States. We have a constitution for a reason. DO NOT think you’re doing a “good deed” over this mandate. Short staffing is already an issue across all boards. Now you want to take away the livelihood of hard working citizens on how they provide for their families. It’s sickening. America’s heroes one year, jobless the next. STOP THE MANDATE

I am firefighter because I have religious values that lead me to do what is right. During a pandemic, I stood on the front line and treated patients no matter what risk the government or the media portrayed to me. Now that my religious values keep me from making the wrong choice (receiving a controversial vaccine) my job is being threatened. This is an insult to all who have stood the front line. Please stop this mandate and let us continue to do what we believe is right.

STOP the EUA COVID injection mandate on City employees. I ask city council members who insist on pushing this mandate that they issue a personal financial accountability statement for any deaths or injuries caused by these injections and not use taxpayers’ money to pay for legal representation. It would only be fair to ask that you pay for consequences that your decision will cause. Pushing someone to choose between their life and their livelihood is criminal. Federal money can't justify this.

As a native of Phoenix, I am against the proposed mandate for our city employees. We have come to rely on our police, fire department and others to maintain our security and safety. This mandate will result in an ever increasing exit from the police force as well as other departments. I would ask that you consider the true science and data associated with this virus and it’s variants. I would ask that you consider the precedent this sets for the future and our amazing Valley.

1-The only input that the City has on this mandate is whether to comply, and non-compliance would involve a prohibitively complicated (and unnecessarily damaging) disconnection from federal funding agreements. 2-Such public heath policy seems clearly to "provide for the common defense [and] promote the general welfare," both core purposes cited in the preamble to the U.S. Constitution, as upheld by the Supreme Court in Jacobson v Massachusetts (1905). As a City employee I welcome it. Thank you.

I vehemently oppose this unconstitutional mandate against our medial freedom.City of Phoenix should be looking within its leadership to better our city, not mandating & threatening valued employees and their families.
City of Phx is already suffering from severe staffing shortages in all departments. If you do this,it is your fault alone for the city’s continued decline.Last year my husband was a hero, now he is looked at as a radical who must be silenced bc of his belief in choice.DO NOT MANDATE

Mandatory vaccination is illegal and unconstitutional. Giving city workers an ultimatum is cruel and unfair. Be prepared to be dangerously understaffed, Not to mention the lawsuits. The vaccine hasn’t even had a legal trial period to enforce. If you want to be vaccinated, that’s your choice. The vaccination mandate violates your ability to chose. This is not right. Be prepared to lose people who have worked hard for you. Shame on the city for treating their employees like this! It’s disgusting
