Vote no. Don’t reward the police department who is being investigated by the DOJ and who is harassing people who are unhoused. They don’t make us safer. They don’t prevent crime all they do is respond after the fact. Please listen to the people who have been harmed by police including black and brown people.

Do what is right for the people who choose to put themselves in harms way for the community. One of the most thankless jobs for some of the most courageous individuals. If Phoenix is to continue to grow and be a positive example for the rest of the state, then pay, and therefore recruit, the right personnel to keep the community safe. The police department has been understaffed for too long and treated poorly along the way. Make it happen. Take pride in this city again.

VOTE YES and support our police who put their lives on the line every day. I believe we need the best, brightest, most well-trained and moral police force to protect and serve the citizens of Phoenix. Those that are trying to defund the police don't care about the citizens of Phoenix they are only interested in their agenda to divide America. Thank you for your support of the blue.

Betty, Yass, Laura, Carlos, and Kate, PPD has cost the city millions in lawsuits and already has a bloated budget while you allow other departments to be ineffective and ultimately harmful. Voting yes on this budget rewards the continued legacy of disgusting and violent actions of PHX PD and further disenfranchises the people you claim to serve. We demand that you, the so-called progressives on council, vote like Black Lives Matter and Invest in the needs of the people! Vote NO! #NoPiggyPayRaise

Our police force is over worked, understaff edand poorly treated. Crime is way up since the push to defund based on political motivations to turn this city into another Portland. I have lived here since 1997 and in the last 2 years have seen a sharp decline in this city.
Offer a competitive pay so that we can attract and build a strong police force which is essential in any great American city. Social workers need to stay in their lane, they cannot deal with violence.

Police officers are essential! Please pay them competitive wages so that we can hire officers with integrity and values. Our world is evil and we need our police more than ever! I approve raises for our police. Thank you

I strongly oppose raising pay for Phoenix police at this time. There is a reason why they are under a DOJ investigation and we should not be rewarding bad behavior. Why are we not raising pay for employees at other city agencies such as social services? Why are we giving special treatment to a department that has consistently demonstrated over the top violent, racist behavior? Did we not already increase pay for these officers and provide sign on bonuses thanks to Covid stimulus money?

Do NOT defund our police. Crime is up in my neighborhood with an ARMED ROBBERY a block from my Ahwatukee home. I've lived in this neighborhood 27 years and always felt safe...until now! Our police need competitive salaries to afford to continue to work and to bring in new officers to replace the ones we've lost!

Vote NO on increasing pay for Phoenix PD! The police in our community do so much harm and there are so many, many other important ways to spend that money - housing, food and water for our homeless neighbors, mental health resources, etc. etc. We have to stop continuing to fund things that don’t work!

YES for competitive salaries for Police. We must be able to acquire and retain new police officers by offering them a liveable wage and benefit package.

Please support. As the largest city in the Valley, Phoenix must ensure that police are paid more than any other area city to attract many more highly qualified officers. We are critically short. My area supports police who put their lives on the line EVERY DAY to protect us. As violent crime rates continuing to rise (24% increase in homicides 2021/2022 YTD!) it's more critical than ever now. Public safety must be the #1 priority for the mayor and council. It certainly is for Phoenix residents!

I believe we need the best, brightest and most well-trained police force to protect and serve the citizens of Phoenix and that begins with being well-paid. Officers put their lives on the line for us and we need to support them by well compensating them. We acn't afford to lose any and we must be able to retain them. Thank you

We moved out of San Francisco last year due to the high crime rates, defunding the police, and aggressive mental issues, I moved to Phoenix only to see that Phoenix is sadly moving in the same direction. Please DO NOT defund the police; Please DO NOT reduce the size of the police force; Please pay the police force to attract and to retain the police force. Please support the hard work the police force is doing. The crime rate in Phoenix is already increasing; we need to reduce this trend.
