Please support this amendment in order to help the City of Phoenix Police attract and retain high quality employees to provide sworn police services. Phoenix violent crime rates continue to rise, and public safety should be the number one priority for the mayor and city council.

Kate, your every vote betrays the ideals of Black political solidarity. We’ve had fewer cops every year and crime has gone down while officer involved shootings have gone up. Every opportunity you’ve had, you’ve voted to give more money to police, even after a DOJ investigation, multiple lawsuits and being threatened by a cop! What are you doing here? Trying to squeeze a few more piggy pay raises in before you resign like Jeri and Ed? VOTE NO! #NoPiggyPayRaise

Betty, Yass, Laura, Carlos, and Kate, PPD has cost the city millions in lawsuits and already has a bloated budget while you allow other departments to be ineffective and ultimately harmful. Voting yes on this budget rewards the continued legacy of violent actions of PHX PD and further disenfranchises the people you claim to serve. We demand that you vote like Black Lives Matter and Invest in the needs of the people! Vote NO!

YES YES YES....PLEASE support our police, and the safety of our city! Don't fall for the lies and manipulation that a strong police force is bad, and abusive....what a load of ca ca..... It is your job to protect the citizens....please do so by providing funding for our only form of protection....the POLICE.

Kate, your ‘progressive’ ideals and ‘feminism’ have no intersectionality and embrace the lie that more policing and prison time keeps us safe. This form of carceral feminism is a very white perspective as only white women have the luxury of believing that policing is protection. Black, Brown, and Indigenous people have been telling you, the council, for YEARS that this system was created solely to cage and kill them. Vote NO! and invest in community, not cops!

Please support this amendment. As stated, the city must ensure job classifications that lead the local market, giving the 5th largest city in the US the ability to attract and retain high quality employees to provide sworn police services. Only the police can manage the violent wave that has hit our neighborhood and affected our daily lives.

Please support and vote YES for increased police funding. We must ensure we can attract and retain officers. The majority of voters support and back our police officers. Public safety must be a top priority of the mayor and council. I support 100% increased funding for officers.

It's sad to see such opposition to public safety. I support this increase and hope for others who oppose continue to ask for help despite their hatred for the police. It amazes me in this day and age we continue to degrade our men and women who defend those who continue to act against Police with every breath. 2022 continues to be the most violent year in PHX PD history...how can you not offer financial support. I challenge you to do the job at the pay rate they do!

You must vote NO! This pay raise ignores the violence PPD inflicts on black, brown and indigenous people in our city. By giving even MORE money to the nation's deadliest police force, you actively work against your community. With fewer cops every year, crime has gone down while officer-involved shootings have gone up. Vote NO on yet another pay increase for an already bloated budget and a police force that needs to stop killing people.

Betty, Yass, Laura, Carlos, and Kate, PPD has cost the city millions in lawsuits and already has a bloated budget while you allow other departments to be ineffective and ultimately harmful. Voting yes on this budget rewards the continued legacy of disgusting and violent actions of PHX PD and further disenfranchises the people you claim to serve. We demand that you, the so-called progressives on council, vote like Black Lives Matter and Invest in the needs of the people! Vote NO!

One of the countries deadliest forces needs training NOT more pay - not a day goes by that we do not hear about a police involved shooting - this force needs de-escalation and anti racism training

As a white female, I see no need to increase police funding. We need to put this money into programs that will serve our underserved communities. We need to support our black and brown neighbors by prioritizing the health of their communities. No pay raise for the police!

Please support this item to keep our City competitive with other Valley law enforcement agencies. We need to be able to effectively recruit and retain highly qualified police officers.

Our police officers are understaffed on the streets and under-supported at City Hall. Hiring more officers isn’t about resources; it’s about prioritizing public safety. Better training and better pay will go a long way in improving the police force of the 5th largest city in America.
I strongly urge you to vote YES on this to improve the most important resource we have at the city, our law enforcement officers.

Betty, Yass, Laura, Carlos, and Kate you must VOTE NO! You claim to care about your constituents, yet ignore the violence PPD inflicts on Black, brown and indigenous folx everyday. You actively work against their demands by further funding the nation’s most deadly police force. Do not perpetuate white violence by addressing serious issues with carceral feminism. We repeat: PPD must be DEFUNDED. Do NOT vote to increase a pay raise for state sanctioned violence. Policing is NOT safety. Vote NO!
