Option B, support. Large gatherings and out of state travel increase the risk for COVID 19. I send this from a hospital, where the ED is full, the ICU is full, the hospital is full and we are preparing to admit two patients into a single patient room to expand capacity. Children and their families don't just play on a field, they frequent neighborhood restaurants, convenience stores and other events that bring multiple people into close contact. Please help limit the spread with this measure.

I strongly urging the Phoenix City Council to take the most restrictive action to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by adopting option (b). We must protect our vulnerable population.

My son played in club soccer for a few years, but decided not to continue this year. I highly encourage the City Council to chose option B and cancel all field allocations and tournaments. Even if masking and crowd limitations are in place at these tournaments, there is a lot of off-site socializing that goes on after these tournaments (I've seen several posts of gatherings on social media of late). We need to do what we can to ease the burden on our hospitals and healthcare workers now.

According to the CDC COVID 19 is more contagious than the flu and takes longer to develop symptoms. You can feel well but be positive for COVID 19 thus increasing the risk of spreading the virus to others. With over 270,000 U.S. deaths since January (over 6000 here in Arizona) we must take every measure possible to control the spread of this virus.

I strongly urge the Phoenix City Council to take the most restrictive action to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by adopting option (b). Please show that you care about the health and safety of citizens above all else.

I strongly encourage the strictest restrictions and choose option B. This is not forever, this is just for a short time. Children will model the behavior of the adults in their lives, If the adults are mature and positive, the children will be also. This is not just about the children on the field, more people coming into our state and congregating increases the spread.

As COVID-19 cases continue to increase, we need to consider mitigation efforts now to keep our community safe. Option B is an important step to take to keep children, parents, coaches and others safe from any potential interactions that could put them at risk.

I support Option B. The mass congregation of parents, spectators, youth, public at these sporting events, many of which are not adhering to physical distancing guidelines, or appropriate mask wearing are placing undue burden and risk to our Arizona communities contributing to increased undue burden on our healthcare system. We need to come together as a community a do what is best for public health at this time, even if it will pose a challenge to our youth.

As a parents of two children, my wife and I accompany them to most events, and am concerned about the continued spread of COVID in our communities. Please prioritize the safety of our neighbors. Thank you.

Please help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and support public health for all residents by adopting option B. We need the most restrictive action now to ensure we have hospital capacity moving forward.

Please vote to cease the youth sports activities. As an RN, the strain on our healthcare workers is unprecedented and by stopping the sports, this can help decrease the spread. Thank you for ensuring we don't run out of beds to care for all patients.

I strongly support option b. The decision to stop tournaments and field use will support our healthcare workers and keep our communities safe. We need to do everything we can to mitigate the spread of COVID. I have a child that was in club softball for years and I know that in addition to the risk of the spread of COVID, kids get hurt and the healthcare system cannot handle the burden of the additional patients when they are focusing on the pandemic. Please keep our communities safe.

Our youth need the safe social interaction and development that comes with sports, strict guidelines are followed for all sports. If you really want to limit the uncontrolled spread, look at restaurants and bars where the masks are worn by staff.

I am in support of Option B - slowing the spread of COVID needs to be a priority right now given the pressure being placed on our health care system. This will allow us to not only prioritize the care of our community from a COVID perspective but also with other medical needs. While I respect this may be challenging for our youth, it is one key measure that can help support the health of our entire community.

Public health and safety are paramount during this pandemic, which is why I support Option (b). We have lost too many of our neighbors and loved ones to a virus, of which we all know how to stop the spread. Please put the public well-being first and foremost.

I know kids want to return to normal, but community transmission levels are simply too high to safely operate youth sports events. Our healthcare systems are under tremendous stress at this time and it is incumbent on all members of the community to do our part to ease the burden to prevent collapse. Mask up, socially distance and wash your hands.
