Please reconsider the proposed $944,680,555 allocated to our public safety department for the 2020-21 fiscal year. I am asking that the funds be redirected to programs that heal and educate our community. Increase the proposed $24,760,742 and $26,837,014 budgets for community development and community enrichment. These funds would be better directed towards mental health and wellness resources for the community instead of the phoenix police department.
I demand that the Phoenix City Council allocate $3 million to the Office of Accountability and Transparency and Civilian Review Board in the 2020 - 2021 budget.
I completely oppose the amount of excessive funds for public safety and instead would like to see those funds spent on the community. We need that to go towards education, recreational activities for children, affordable housing and more policies in place to assist the homeless in our city

I ask the Phoenix City Council to reconsider the proposed $944,680,555 that is currently allocated to the Phoenix Public Safety Department for the 20-21 fiscal year. Please redirect these funds to programs that work to educate and build our community. Please use those funds to increase the proposed $24,760,742 and $26,837,014 budgets for Community Development and Community Enrichment. These funds will be used better to make the Phoenix community a safer and better place for all of our citizens.
I oppose. The Phoenix Police Department already has enough money and more importantly they are known for being violent towards citizens. The money would be better spent in other areas such as towards housing and healthcare. Please reconsider this action.
Reconsider the proposed $944,680,555 allocated to our public safety department for the 2020-21 fiscal year. Our community asks that you redirect funds to programs that heal and educate our community. Increase the proposed $24,760,742 and $26,837,014 budgets for community development and community enrichment.
Phoenix needs and deserves policing alternatives and investments in mental health and trauma services, education, and after-school care, housing, healthcare, and employment opportunities.
I oppose the budget allocated to the Phoenix police department. The funds should be directed to educational and public housing instead. The police force has a history of destroying lives and engaging in brutality and the Phoenix police is no different. Directing these funds would ensure that these at risk communities would not have to rely on the police to begin with. Please listen to what the citizens are begging you to do and don’t fund the police any more than they already are being funded.
It is appalling to see people being murdered at the hands of the police. Arizona is known to be a state with a tremendous amount of police violence and I refuse to allow more people to be murdered at the hands of the police due to racial profiling and systematic racism. I demand a decrease in funding for the police. In addition, funds should be directed to the communities where police violence has impacted the community the most as well as a civilian review boards to hold the police accountable.
I strongly oppose the proposed allocations and I demand the $944,680,555 allocated to our public safety department for the 2020-21 fiscal year is revised. The Phoenix PD is what makes our community unsafe and is statistically ranked one of the highest in the country for cases of police killing civilians. Defund the Phoenix PD and allocate 2020-21 city funds to policies and programs that will create and sustain a safe community.
The City of Phoenix is statistically ranked highest in the country for cases of police killing civilians. Police forces across the country have proven that diversifying and implementing various trainings have not and will not end police brutality. The City of Phoenix needs and deserves policing alternatives and investments in mental health and trauma services, education and after-school care, adequate and affordable housing, healthcare, employment opportunities, and sustainability programs.
Essential programs and services that protect and uplift residents in our community are consistently losing funds while Phoenix PD is allocated MORE dollars to spend on tanks, toys, and their gi joe cosplay. These items are used to criminalize the individuals that stood to benefit from the programs you have cut. We also cannot keep funneling public funds into an entity that lacks accountability and is unchecked by the city. Defund and redistribute funds from PHX PD. Fully fund the CRB.
I am strongly opposed to increasing the allocation of funds for the Phoenix Police Department. The Phoenix PD is consistently among the most violent police departments nationwide, and their aggression towards the citizens they are supposed to protect develops an atmosphere of fear in the community rather than safety. I urge the council to instead allocate these funds towards education, community development, or initiatives which aim to decrease Phoenix’s environmental impact.
Please reconsider allocating the $944,680,555 budget for the Phoenix Police Department for the 2020-21 fiscal year. The Phoenix community is hurting right now and needs the cities support more than ever. This budget could be used for services of a higher priority right now, such as education, mental health services, housing, employment. Please consider giving this budget to services that can help this city grow and become better than it is today, instead of a system that tears us down.

I am opposed to increasing the already bloated budget of the Phoenix Police Department. The Phoenix PD is throughly militarized and has a long history of brutality against the citizens they are supposed to serve and protect.
I urge the funding goes towards social programs such as but not limited to : housing the homeless, funding education, and green public transportation.
