Every city council member must demand that the MCAO drop all charges against protestors who have been politically targeted by Phoenix PD! If you really care about safety and justice for the people you’re supposed to represent, then fight for the freedom of speech of Black and brown activists! Denounce PPD and #DroptheCharges!

PPD has a long history of targeting and abusing people based on their political beliefs. They surveil and target Black and brown activists, hoping to silence them. Phoenix PD uses violent tactics to harm and oppress people who demand justice and an end to police brutality. Council members, you sit on the “Public Safety and Justice” sub committee, and yet you do NOTHING to defend Black lives from the most violent police force in the nation. Denounce PPD now and demand MCAO #DroptheCharges.

PPD and MCAO colluding to imprison protesters is the problem! Stop supporting one of the most violent police forces in the nation. PPD has a long history of targeting and abusing people based on their political beliefs. They surveil and target Black and brown activists, hoping to silence them. Phoenix PD uses violent tactics to harm and oppress people who demand justice and an end to police brutality. Demand MCAO drop all felony charges against Black Lives Matter protesters.

Charges should be dropped. Black and brown people are subject to terrible treatment when they assemble.

All charges should be dropped for every single protestor. Our city has a long history of violence at the hands of the police and instead of helping your community you’d rather allow them to continue the violence which is absolutely disgusting. Change that today by dropping the charges.

Only 26 of the many thousands of violent white supremacists were arrested at the Capitol in DC compared to literally HUNDREDS that PPD arrested at our BLM protests in Phx. Judges dropped the bulk of the charges but we still have 15 people facing felony charges and years in prison. Council you empower these killer cops to attack and kill Black folx, and you condone MCAO politically prosecuting protesters. If Black Lives Matter to you denounce PPD’s violence and demand MCAO#DroptheCharges!

Peaceful protesters are arrested and charged with felonies? People are tired of watching injustices happen. Training for your officers might help.

Drop the charges! These protests were for the blatant mistreatment of POC and by trying to push this narrative and penalize protestors, you are openly admitting that you would rather support a corrupt system than fix it. Drop the charges and do better!

On Jan 6th white supremacists in DC were escorted out of the Capitol by equally racist police and allowed to go home. Compare that to Phx protesters exercising their first amendment right to assemble against the oppressive and relentless violence of Phx Police. PPD arrested hundreds! Now, 3 children and a dozen people, who now face felony street gang charges. They could be sentenced to YEARS in prison. There is no clearer evidence of how racist and anti-Black the whole system is. #DroptheCharg

The city of Phoenix and the MCAO are horrifically persecuting and imprisoning Phoenicians who use their rights to call out the ways this city neglects, endangers, and kills black people. It’s awful and so are the policies this council votes for despite their constituents needs. This political persecution should be allowed no longer. DROP THE CHARGES

Drop the charges! Life altering consequences for peacefully advocating for justice is reprehensible and the definition of oppression. To be better, we must do better. Actions speak louder than words...time for action. #BLM #dropthecharges

It is clear that the City Council and Mayor both support Phoenix Police in its usage of horrific tactics to silence Black organizers and their allies. They only seem to attack protests led by black organizers, and as these peaceful protests are met with tear gas, those white nationalists erecting a guillotine outside your doors are met with silence. Your job is to serve the people, yet you fail to do so and instead harm us. Denounce PPD and demand MCAO #DroptheCharges!

Mayor & City Council actively support Phoenix Police in using violent tactics and militarized weapons to silence Black organizers. Police ONLY attack Black led protests. The community was exercising their first amendment right to assemble against police murder. PPD attacked with tear gas and rubber bullets and made over 300 arrests. Your job is to serve the people, instead you are complicit in harming, caging, and killing Black and brown people. Denounce PPD and demand MCAO #DroptheCharges

Drop the charges! These trumped up felony charges for people exercising their right to protest are disgusting. PPD and the MCAO want nothing more than to silence the voices of people calling for justice and accountability. They would rather jail and ruin countless people’s lives rather than take a step back and look at the reason why these people are protesting. It is way past time to DROP THE CHARGES AND FIX THIS CORRUPT SYSTEM.
