I strongly oppose increasing the PHX PD budget. Not only are they statistically considered one of the most deadly police forces in the country, more money should be used for community enrichment and development. The people need this money, the PHX PD doesn’t. I demand that the Phoenix City Council allocate $3 million to the Office of Accountability and Transparency and Civilian Review Board in the 2020 - 2021 budget.

They're hmjob is to protect and serve they have not done they're job. We should not fund programs that will lead to more police and more deaths. Redirect the funds to community and health care programs.

Please reconsider the proposed $944,680,555 allocated to our public safety department for the 2020-21 fiscal year. Our community asks that you redirect funds to programs that heal our community. Increase the proposed $24,760,742 and $26,837,014 budgets for community development
The Phoenix PD is ranked one of the highest in the country for cases of police killing civilians. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Defund the PD and allocate 2020-21 city funds to policies and programs that sustain a safe community.

I oppose the increased $944M budget allocation to the Phoenix Police Department and demand that increased funds be allocated to community education and community development/enrichment to fund programs that support mental health, job training, affordable housing, early childhood education and childcare. I demand that at least $3M be allocated in the 2020-2021 budget to fund the Office of Accountability and Transparency and the Community Review Board.

I am requesting that the Phoenix City Council allocate $3 million to the Office of Accountability and Transparency and Civilian Review Board in the 2020 - 2021. Increase the proposed $24,760,742 and $26,837,014 budgets for community development and community enrichment. The City of Phoenix needs policing alternatives and investments in mental health and after-school care, adequate housing, healthcare, and employment opportunities.

Please redirect funds allocated for the Phoenix Police Department. Please consider reallocating funds meant for Public Safety to Community Development and Community Enrichment instead. If the Public Safety allocation remains the same then the vast majority of the funds should go to fire departments who are much more deserving of our support and praise than one of the most violent police forces in the nation. The taxpayers do not want their money to be spent further arming violent police.

I strongly oppose the funding of nearly 1 billion dollars to the public safety fund - mostly the roughly 111 million dollars specifically towards police funding. I am instead requesting the budget be distributed more equally, specifically targeting our public schools, which have repeatedly been ranked 47th in the country, along with all categories in the community development and enrichment segments.

I oppose this budget. The Phoenix police department has been statistically shown to be one of the worst in the country for civilian death at the hands of police. These resources should be reallocated to various community building, education, healthcare, housing, and job resources

Fully fund the Police Civilian Review Board. Our police force needs the oversight and community review for transparency and healing of long-standing tension, excessive force, distrust and systemic discrimination.

I oppose the proposed $944,680,555 allocated to our public safety department for the 2020-21 fiscal year. We should instead redirect those funds towards education and social programs which help and enrich our community.

Defund the police. The funds they get help assist them both in daily discrimination and profiling, as well as inciting violence at rallies and protests. Instead, help the community by allocating these funds elsewhere, such as assisting with healthcare or education.

We have so many issues in Phoenix regarding education, and adequate resources for our hospital staff and essential workers. Nearly 1 Billion dollars going towards one of the most militarized, violent police forces who ranks high in killing civilians is completely unacceptable. Please put this money towards the community, and not providing the police more means to hurt the constituents of this state.

This money did not need to go into the phenolic police department. Our community needs it more, this should be spent on or communities so that better health and sanitation can be implemented.

Reconsider the proposed $944,680,555 allocated to our public safety department and increase the proposed $24,760,742 and $26,837,014 budgets for community development and community enrichment. We need and deserve policing alternatives and investments in mental health and trauma services, education and after-school care, adequate housing, healthcare, and employment opportunities. Defund the Phoenix PD and allocate funds to policies and programs that will create and sustain a safe community.

I am in total opposition to providing $745M to the Police Department, as it is currently overfunded. The Phoenix PD is ranked one of the highest in the country for cases of police killing civilians and the community is speaking for this to be an end.

I oppose the allocation of $944,680,555 to the Public Safety Department for the 2020-21 FY. The PHX PD is one of the most dangerous in the nation, our community does not feel protected by PHX PD. Police have proven to civilians in this state, and all over the world that police brutality is everywhere and goes on everyday. Things must change. Your community is asking that you redirect the funding to areas that benefit the community, allowing us to grow and heal. The time for this change is now.
