Never, in my 20+ years of service, have I seen an issue w/ so many conflicting positions shoved down the throats of a vast majority of our great cities workers. Continuing to wedge our city workers against each other using fear & authority is shameful and downright un American! Never put money before people. This is exactly what this mandate does…….

I strongly oppose this mandate. This city was built on principle and has always stood on the precedent of it's strength is in its people. This is clearly not putting the people or citizens first. Very sad that this is even a topic. 20 year public safety

This is the United States of America. We are a free country. Free to choose what we eat, drink, watch and listen to, freedom is what we are proud of. Nobody has the right to tell us what to do with our bodies let along inject us with things we may not want. There are various reasons, some people have autoimmune issues and vaccines can hurt us, some religious, some political and some personal. These should all be treated accordingly to what we choose to put in our bodies.

These vaccine mandates infringe on the personal freedoms and liberties of all concerned citizens. What happened to "My Body My Choice"? I guess that only works for abortions in this country. Where were you last year when my coworkers and I showed up every day during the peak of the pandemic with no vaccine and we are still faithfully serving? We are already short staffed and morale is low because YOU are creating this problem.

I oppose requiring a mandate on people who are intelligent, informed, and capable of deciding for themselves what they need to stay healthy. When the outcome is undeniably questionable, the science proves that natural immunity is far better, when most people are already immune, such a demand is tyranny, unconstitutional, outright abusive. It is a push against such freedoms as this beautiful country was founded upon, and people across the world flee too in order to escape such misuse of humanity.

My name is Eric Holt and I have been a Phoenix Fire Fighter for 19 years. I oppose this measure to mandate the Covid 19 vaccine among city workers. The mandate is unnecessary and In light of the fact that police and fire are already understaffed -It will only devastate our ability to provide emergency medical services, firefighting, and critical police work. Unfortunately, Our city will be less safe- not more.

Reading through the comments made me very encouraged. I am not alone. In my opinion, no one of sound mind would support this insanity. Mandating what goes into another's body, under their skin is invasive and cannot be allowed. It is a reflection of the ignorance of any official (elected or not) of fundamental principles of civics, our history, our constitution and what our unique foundation came was based on. Too much power was given to too many officials that do not know how to handle it.

I am an Phoenix born/Arizona Native. I work in Phoenix and have needed assistance from law enforcement in the past. The officers were outstanding and I have always greatly appreciated the job they do. This mandate is unconstitutional and I firmly oppose any requirement forcing law enforcement to be vaccinated in order to keep their jobs.

I am a long time Arizona resident and have lived in Phoenix and currently work in the city. Knowing several law enforcement officers and seeing how much they dedicate to their jobs and careers, I am greatly concerned that the city is considering making that job so very much harder. We are already so short on officers and it concerns me tremendously. We cannot afford to lose a single member of our first responders. I strongly oppose this mandate.

My name is Ryan Place and I have been a Phoenix firefighter for 17 years. I strongly oppose any shot mandate. Please stop this government overreach. This shot does not prevent people from getting it or keep people from spreading it. Therefore it should not be forced on anyone.

Being a first responder family, I am deeply concerned and saddened by the ultimatum that is being presented to ALL city employees....submit to a medical procedure or lose your job?! I OPPOSE ANY VACCINE MANDATE!

I strongly oppose mandating this vaccine for our city employees! They are our families, neighbors and friends and they deserve much better than an ultimatum between their jobs and submitting to a medical procedure that they might be opposed to. I fear for the safety of our communities, our police and fire departments are already understaffed and this mandate will cause job losses and devastating consequences for our neighborhoods, communities and the city as a whole.

I adamantly oppose this Federal vaccine mandate for City employees which will result in staffing and emergency response crises in the City of Phoenix.

I am a Phoenix firefighter. Many of our firefighters coming down with covid are vaccinated. The last four covid patients I have encountered have all been vaccinated. Two were sick despite having 3 shots. The other two had adverse reactions to the vaccine and had to be hospitalized. The vaccine doesn’t work and has harmful adverse reactions that are covered up. This mandate will destroy the city of Phoenix.

I strongly oppose this vaccine mandate which is a tremendous Federal government overreach. I am extremely concerned about the negative ramifications that this will have on ALL City Services. Phoenix is already experiencing staffing shortages and losing additional employees to a mandate would be devastating. The safety of Phoenix citizens is at stake, there is no way to provide adequate emergency services with any further staffing shortages, we are already in a crisis.

This is a terrible way to treat the First Responders who have carried us through this pandemic, and a terrible approach to public safety - with clear and disproportionate consequences for Phoenix residents who rely on First Responders most.

Forcing public servants to choose between their medical autonomy and their jobs is disgraceful. No one should be subjected to medical mandates, least of all our first responders.

These vaccine mandates need to stop. Stop forcing people to do things they don’t want. This is the United States of America. Oppose mandated covid vaccinations for Phoenix employees.

Employment should not be threatened by a vaccine mandate. Let the individual choose if they wish to be vaccinated or not.
