This is absolutely insane that we have to debate community health. It is insane that we are not wanting to protect those around us and those that we love. I believe in Science and I strongly encourage my city council to be on the right side of history and follow what years of scientific research has proven works and that is wearing face masks prevents the transmission of covid-19 droplets. Support science and oppose conspiracy theories. Support face masks.

I am a lifelong Phoenix resident who fully supports the mandatory mask policy. The recent research from the WHO/Lancet with over 172 studies across 16 countries is proof that they halt the virus. If we want to safely reopen the economy, masks are a cheap, practical solution that we can implement now. I don't hear nurses and essential workers complaining about wearing masks during 10+ hour shifts. Their lives depend on them. We can wear masks for 2-3 hours while were out in public.

Please make face masks mandatory in all public spaces. Masks prevent the spread of COVID-19, save lives and will help us restart the economy.

Even if there was overwhelming popular consent about face masks (which there isn't), imposing a law mandating everyone wear face masks within the city borders would be detrimental to free thought, freedom of choice, innovation, & the spirit of cooperation.

Face mask laws are political statements

I am a district 2 resident. Please make face masks mandatory. They help protect others and the person wearing it. We need to stop this virus from spreading.

If you attempt to enforce masks, you must enforce underwear. This is completely foolish. This is a financial crisis, not a health crisis. Don't drink the Kool aid and don't try to sell any.

I strongly oppose this mandatory mask wearing agenda. This should be considered freedom of choice of whether we should wear something or not as American people. Even if you are convinced of the validity of the "virus", wearing masks will not slow not stop the "spread at any rate whatsoever. The pore size of cloth masks is bigger than the size of virus particles entering. It's the same as putting up a CHAIN LINK FENCE to keep out MOSQUITOES! Please think and do your own research on this. Thanks.

Masks are the most effective tool we currently have to mitigate and slow the spread of COVID-19. I strongly urge the City of Phoenix to mandate masks in public to keep Phoenicians safe.

I have heard both sides of the argument. I don't know which is true!

POTUS refused to wear a mask due to symbolism involved.
Slaves were made to wear masks to symbolize subservience, silence, and submission to ownership.
OSHA states wearing masks is detrimental to our health.
CDC state numbers were skewed so hospitals and pharmacies could gain reimbursements for listing deaths as Covid related even if death was NOT from Covid.
I know this as Fact.. Due to speaking directly to CDC personally.
    I will NOT symbolize submission.
    I will NOT be silenced.

I can't breathe in a mask....some experts say it lowers oxygen levels in our blood which could lead to hypoxemia. There isn't enough information or data to suggest masks help

I oppose wearing masks for Maricopa county. With information from health official's, it isn't a good idea and It will cause other ailments such as not breathing or get oxygen properly, it fogs up glasses, it irritates the face in which people are always touching them, it leaves saliva and snot on masks from your nose. I disagree and will not use a mask. Check out what OSHA says and maybe then people will realize the importance of info. Before wearing a mask.

Please pass a citywide face-covering policy. It will save lives and allow us to get back to "normal" more quickly. We need a mandate because it is not happening voluntarily and it is critical for public health.

I am a District 4 resident and small business owner. I am 110% in full support of mandating the widespread use of masks in Phoenix. Without a policy that ensures safety people do not have the confidence required to resume activities and reopen their businesses. The threat of being exposed to the coronavirus from people not wearing masks is bad for business and even worse for public health.

Please mandate masks in public to reduce spread of this dangerous disease! Masks are the least we can do to protect ourselves and each other. The City should allocate resources to acquiring masks for people who might not otherwise afford them and forbid discriminatory enforcement.

Mandatory face coverings will help slow the spread of SARS-CoV-2. There is no need for more Arizonans to be dying from this virus.

I support a mask policy for Phoenix, with Maricopa County being the fastest growing part of the state in case numbers we have shown we cannot handle this responsibility with out a government mandate.

Please pass a citywide face covering policy. Face masks do not need to be a political issue. These are lives of Americans we want to save from contracting Covid-19.

The virus is spreading too rapidly in AZ, please require use of masks! People will not do it on their own. It must be required and people fined if they don't comply and businesses fined if they don't comply! If people want the economy reopened it must be made as safe as possible to go out in public. I was at a small UPS store yesterday and the clerks wore masks, I wore a mask...the other 8 people did not! I for one will not go to any shop, restaurant or business again that does not require it.
